UR Lost a great one

sorry to hear that, David lived in my neighborhood, our kids played together and watched as he lost his wife a number of years back to cancer, really sad for him going through that. may he rest in peace and my thoughts and prayers with the kids, who are now adults but still little ones in my mind.

Thanks 05. I looked up a couple of Collegian articles on him from last fall as he began his fight against Stage IV Lymphoma. He had never missed a day of teaching in his first 25 years and he ended up taping his classes last year so he could get his chemo treatments done and still be a teacher for his students. I only had a few conversations with him but always looked forward to them and appreciated every one of them. David has a full resume but you would never know it when talking to him, he was always engaged in his conversations. I will miss seeing him at UR or on the tennis courts but I will always remember and admire him.
