We will have our hands full with the Tribe QB-2 dimensional threat-Hollis Mathis.

With the season finally here, Hollis Mathis is determined to make the most of it

Very young. Hoping the talent is there and they come together. If so, could have a few good seasons ahead of us

Damn, I can't wait for Saturday. A couple of thoughts to unpack that two-deep.

  • OL is large.
  • DL needs Ritten back in the fall
  • Lot of Fr up and down the list. Fantastic for development
  • I'm looking fwd to seeing Jasiah Williams. Staff is madly in love with him.
  • We should be improved in Spec Teams?
  • What is the chemistry between QB Joe and the WRs?

Hope to see some of you mugs on Saturday. Seems fitting to me that all this craziness leads to another Tribe/Spider meeting. I smell another highly competitive contest.

Is tailgating allowed?

“...For all games at Robins Stadium this season, parking will be free and a parking pass will not be required. All parking will be on a first come, first serve basis. Lots will open one hour prior to kick-off and no tailgating or picnicking will be permitted. Upon arrival, fans/guests should promptly enter Robins Stadium and following the conclusion of the game immediately exit Robins Stadium and depart campus...”

Everyone come tailgate at my house tomorrow then! I’ll have the grill going, fire pit, Ukrops Buffalo chicken dip, probably make chili in the crock pot, and have plenty of drinks. My house is half a mile from campus.

I see we are making the same mental errors on special teams we typically make. Business as usual.

Huesman runs out the clock on a potential drive before the half with 2 timeouts remaining. You think JMU does that?

I was just going to say that it was a good start to the second half - overall more good than bad but that botched PAT snap was unfortunate

Agreed. Play calling and execution showing the same tendencies as 2019. Drives stalling out in positive territory and we're unable to put distance between us and our opponents.

Even the play-calling at the end of the TD drive was suspect (except the 3rd and Goal play of course).

Mancuso had a brain fart when he threw into triple coverage, trying to complete to #7.Lucky for Mancuso because he’s thrown picks like this before

Special teams haven't changed. Gift from the refs on that second muffed punt of the day. Kickoff out of bounds.

Offense has been decent, defense very good. Offensive play calling at end of half was awful. I'll take the 13 point lead at this point.

We caught a break with the fair catch interference call. It was close - not a bad call, but I've certainly seen it not made.

Defense gives reason for optimism. Special teams has been awful. Offense makes you bang your head against the wall.

Not sure I’ve seen that before. Fair catches called by #83 and #88 steps in to take it.
