The Trump Administration

Call your reps. Call Ukraine embassy acknowledging your support. Lady G is also now parroting Putin.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio shoud know better and interjected to get today's meeting back on tract. He was shrinking on the couch while next to vance. He looked like the kid who got caught in the room where Mom and Dad were arguing over Dad's drinking. If Rubio could have hidden under the cushions he would have done it.

Looks to me as Vance (Instigator in Chief) came prepared to pick a fight. You haven't said Thank You today, and you campaigned for our opponent in PA.
Everything these people do is out of spite and pettiness. They're just out for revenge on anyone they have convinced themselves has "wronged" them at any point in the past. Nevermind that the type of "wronging" Trump hates is actually just "being held accountable for all the insane and illegal things you did."

It's how children behave when they don't get their way. It's pathetic behavior for grown adults.

KE, you know there's a proper way for adults, especially those elected to lead entire nations, to behave. Trump is 180 degrees from the way ANY other president of any party ever acted, and it's flat out pathetic and embarrassing. If your kid acted that way at any age, you would be humiliated. Calling out boorish behavior shouldn't be difficult for people from any side to do.

Donald Trump: “There’s a whole big, oh, you can work from home. Nobody’s going to work from a home. They’re going to be going out. They’re going to play tennis. They’re going to play golf. They’re going to do a lot of things. They’re not working.”

Hmmm. Kash Patel wants to live part-time in Las Vegas and work remotely, far away from FBI headquarters in Washington.

I often worked for the UR police department parking cars during basketball games as a freshman and sophomore. So I have more law-enforcement experience than the FBI director.

Wood, not necessarily agreeing, but it is hilarious. 😊

Only you would be concerned about what news sources people utilize for factual news, I'm sure you get your news from the Fox News Fiction Channel.
I last purchased the 3 month digital subscription to the RTD for $1. It wasn't worth it. You can get the digital RTD through the Henrico County library, using your library card. The content is exactly the same. I only use the RTD to read about Spiders' sports.

They have some limited local news, but their national/international storied are generally AP or similar.

Now this is stupid. We need to push Russia back into its box. We can't let Russia continue its malign behavior.

Hegseth orders pause in US cyber-offensive against Russia

It is stupid and extremely dangerous, as Trump's love affair with Putin continues and the Republicans in Congress do nothing about it. Russia will continue its malign behavior and it seems Trump is doing everything to help Putin.

Below is an excerpt from Heather Cox Richardson's daily Letters from an American:

as Stephanie Kirchgaessner of The Guardian notes, the Trump administration has made clear that it no longer sees Russia as a cybersecurity threat. Last week, at a United Nations working group on cybersecurity, representatives from the European Union and the United Kingdom highlighted threats from Russia, while Liesyl Franz, the State Department’s deputy assistant secretary for international cybersecurity, did not mention Russia, saying the U.S. was concerned about threats from China and Iran.

Kirchgaessner also noted that under Trump, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), which monitors cyberthreats against critical infrastructure, has set new priorities. Although Russian threats, especially those against U.S. election systems, were a top priority for the agency in the past, a source told Kirchgaessner that analysts were told not to follow or report on Russian threats.

“Russia and China are our biggest adversaries,” the source told Kirchgaessner. “With all the cuts being made to different agencies, a lot of cybersecurity personnel have been fired. Our systems are not going to be protected and our adversaries know this.” “People are saying Russia is winning,” the source said. “Putin is on the inside now.”

Granted this is an anonymous source, but it certainly seems accurate in light of what else is being disclosed and reported.

There is a lot of fear-mongering going around about Doge. I am more worried about defense cuts, stupid foreign policy decisions, and Trumps asinine impulsive decisions.

I agree with your second statement, but think there is a much better way to make cuts. I think it was Clinton that went to each Department gave them a targeted cut to make or the Admin would do it. Worked well with few complaints. Problem is the government has rewarded growth over effeciency.

Watch the bug in the lower right corner and see stock market decline in real time as Trump announces his stupid tariffs.

The head of the FBI NY field office, an experienced FBI leader and former Marine, was forced to resign by Trump. He had criticized Trump for his pursuit of FBI agents whose sole "malfeasance" was investigating the J6 thugs. The road to authoritarianism continues, any criticism of the "dicktator" will not be tolerated.

And today the Kremlin said that the White House's foreign policy "Largely coincides with our vision". I guess so, after Trump "paused" (translation terminated) all military aid to Ukraine. Since the Republicans in Congress, with a very few exceptions, are agreeing with Trump and what he is doing to Ukraine, the Republican party transformation to the Party of Putin is complete.

That was yesterday's news. I would expect the Russians to say that.

US employers cut more jobs in February than in any month since 2009. More winning!

We had one of the greatest economies in our history when he took over. He's destroyed it in less than two months. And gas, egg and inflation haven't come down, even though he no longer talks about those things. Instead he's blaming Canada for this country's insatiable demand for drugs.

Here's an excerpt from a speech by Claude Mahuret, Senator of the French Republic, which sums up how our allies, or former allies, feel about Trump:

Washington has become the court of Nero, a fiery emperor, submissive courtiers and a ketamine-fueled jester in charge of purging the civil service.

This is a tragedy for the free world, but it is first and foremost a tragedy for the United States. Trump’s message is that there is no point in being his ally since he will not defend you, he will impose more customs duties on you than on his enemies and will threaten to seize your territories while supporting the dictatorships that invade you.

The king of the deal is showing what the art of the deal is all about. He thinks he will intimidate China by lying down before Putin, but Xi Jinping, faced with such a shipwreck, is probably accelerating preparations for the invasion of Taiwan.

Never in history has a President of the United States capitulated to the enemy. Never has anyone supported an aggressor against an ally. Never has anyone trampled on the American Constitution, issued so many illegal decrees, dismissed judges who could have prevented him from doing so, dismissed the military general staff in one fell swoop, weakened all checks and balances, and taken control of social media.

This is not an illiberal drift, it is the beginning of the confiscation of democracy. Let us remember that it took only one month, three weeks and two days to bring down the Weimar Republic and its Constitution.

I have faith in the strength of American democracy, and the country is already protesting. But in one month, Trump has done more harm to America than in four years of his last presidency. We were at war with a dictator, now we are fighting a dictator backed by a traitor.

Trump’s latest charade of implementing big tariffs, watching the stock market crash so that all his rich friends can buy low, then cancelling the tariffs, should anger everyone with a pulse. This is not benefiting the average American — it’s a scam for the uber rich.

Federal spending must be controlled. The EPA has created a $27B slush fund that it used to send billions to special interest groups allied with the Biden Administration. Of this $20B was flushed out the door, after the election and before Trump became president.

"But it appears little of the $27 billion revitalized anything—except the coffers of a range of environmental nonprofits associated with former Obama and Biden administration officials.“The Biden administration used so-called ‘climate equity’ to justify handouts of billions of dollars to their far-left friends...

A Free Press investigation reveals that of the $27 billion, $20 billion was rushed out the door to eight nonprofit groups after Biden lost the election—but before President Donald Trump took office. As one former EPA official put it on a secretly recorded video, it was akin to “tossing gold bars off the Titanic.”The eight groups were allocated sums ranging from $400 million to $6.9 billion. Several of them were formed in August of 2023, just one month after the grant applications went live in July of 2023.

Sounds farfetched to me, but if true hope they get caught and money comes back.

Trump does a ton of illegal, immoral and idiotic things, and it's the Democrats' fault for repeatedly pointing that out? I guess this columnist also blames Zelensky for the war that Putin started. Just as ridiculous a premise.

If I murder your family, steal your retirement fund and set fire to your house and you call me a murderer, an arsonist and fraud, are you to blame for your hatred of me?
