One of my nephews is a USCGA grad (98, I think) and isa lifer. He's presently in DC and will be sent to Taiwan as an attaché in the near future for 2 or 3 years.

USCG is terrific. Served with them for a time as a Navy Chaplain and enjoyed every minute of it. They have many small boat stations dotting the coastline and one of our goals was to visit as many of those as possible.
