St.Joseph's Hawk are flying.

They shot lights out from deep. If they do that in the Robins Center - we will be in trouble.

Daly has brought some scoring and combined with Funk both hit 5 3's. Team was 18-42 from 3 point range with Hall and Brown hitting 4 threes each.

Dayton has really been unimpressive (#FireGrant :)). I thought the mere presence of Crutcher, and some decent talent around him would be enough to have them in the top 2-3, but they have not played that well all year.

Grant certainly has blame, and I see Dayton fans fired up. Big difference to our situation is Dayton is bringing in a monster class next year - with not one, but two 6'8" guys that are well thought of, on top of the 6'9" Fin (come on Goose) that got eligible this year. If Grant does not make NCAA's twice in next four years I would consider that a disappointment .

They lost a lot last from last year - not just Toppin. Crutcher is very good and Dayton has been disappointing, but the difference is - they have a very good class (as mentioned) coming in and really should be poised back near the top next season.
So I wish we would get to the point Dayton is at where you have a top 10 nationally ranked team and National Player of the Year, then following year - your rebuild is still a winning season and probably (time will tell) only lasts 1 year.

I also think Dayton, if they right the ship - will be a team I don't to play in the A10 tourney.

Dayton certainly isn't bad...swept SLU, won at Davidson, swept the Mississippi middle-of-the-pack SEC teams. They're just maddeningly inconsistent. I thought they had enough returning that they would have been steadier.

You never know what you are gonna get from Dayton. All of those good wins and then losses to teams like LaSalle, St. Joes, and even Fordham. Lots of talent but clearly Grant has not figured out how to get the talent to play consistently.

Apparently, nearly half the A-10 is a 6 pack box of chocolates...

losing on senior night should never happen. with the "best class ever"! however, I wouldn't take a bank deposit with Richmond winning. St.Joseph's isn't a cupcake game.

Sheesh. The players didn't call themselves "best class ever", so maybe we can all stop being jerks about taunting them with it.
There you go again. It's not taunting the players.

They did pose for a marketing campaign centered around the slogan.

I do think coming in that the probably were the Best Class Ever. Unfortunately one got injured and never played, some of them had sub par years, and all play for the "losingest coach ever"

I understand indoors is still 250, but someone may be following more closely than me

I guarantee you I am not the only one reading it this way. It is not always being used in reference to Mooney. There are a number of times when it is being used to disparage the players, who folks say they support. For example, post 16 above. You cannot tell me that is talking about Mooney.

Funk and Daly had 36,25 pts respectively the other night v Dayton.

They each shot 5-11 for 3s.Funk shot 5-7 for 2s,Daly 4-8 for 2s

Funk was 11-11 from the charity stripe.

Each played 39 mins.

Joes dominated.Loss coulda have been a lot worse than 13.

Daly had 30 v Lasalle in Joes OT win.Funk had 20.

Mooney hung that moniker around their necks to save his own.

Isn't Ryan Daly the chubby guard who torched us when he played for Delaware?

Seems like a good game to implement as many GG/Sal offense/defense substitutions as possible. SLU game was pretty clear evidence we gotta do this if we have any chance at an A10 tourney title

Come on man, Mooney make a strategy change, this late in the season. I mean a pig could fly out of my ass tomorrow, but I wouldn't put any money on it.

Trying to enjoy the last week of irrational hope and optimism while I still can!

He used to be pretty diligent with the offensive/defensive/ foul trouble dead ball subs, but that was before the lifetime contract

I personally think Sal does a really good job defensively one on one on the perimeter. I don't love his defense in the low post.

I hope we lose on a technical foul called on Mooney at the buzzer, he gets so frustrated that he verbally attacks the ref with such 4letter verbosity that John Hardt runs from the stands to restrain him misses and body slams said ref. They're both led off to the slammer where Mr. Bowtie serves them pink slips. Man, I'd pay double to see that.
