St Francis (NY)

They are 14th in nation for rebounding, and 271st in field goal percentage. But, you have to bear in mind, the level of opposition they face. Their leading rebounder is 6'6", 230 pounds. I think it's safe to say that he has not faced anyone like Terry or Alonzo.

Any team can potentially win on a given night. So, no, we don't want to take anyone for granted. BUT, this should not be a close game.

We aren't overly pretty on the macro stats and ours includes GMU,Fordham,Radford......

POINTS PER GAME-221st overall

REBOUNDS PER GAME-343rd overall

ASSISTS PER GAME-103rd overall

FIELD GOAL PCT-74th overall

I just saw the St. Francis team practicing at the RC. Couple of tall fellows on the team.

Expect a 10+ point victory. Nothing to win here but the game. A loss here would be devastating going forward to the idea UR should be right there for a Dance bid next season. Talk will be the Spiders shouldn't have been a 1 seed above the majors and good call not being in the tourny this year..

STF appears to be an experienced, short physical team that can't shoot a lick from the outside. Put them down early and keep them there ...... UR 74 STF 55.

Are the tall fellows ringers? One 6'7" guy and a bunch of 6'6"ers on the roster, and that's it.

SF, I am 5'11" and 6'7" looks tall to me when they are 5 feet away. Lol

SFC, is, along with William & Mary, one of only 5 of the original D1 programs, never to have gone to the NCAA tournament. They've been to the NIT, 4 times, the last being in 1963. If they win tonight, this might be their greatest victory, ever. I expect them to give us their best game. So, it's important that we take control of the game, right from the tipoff.

Good point TB, this may well be their Superbowl. Getting excited to get this win and set up a show down with Uconn, that would be nice.
I would try not to call a game some team's 'superbowl', that's a VCU move.

Very similar to my high school gym and makes all A-10 venues including Fordham's look like palaces. Let's turn up the heat/intimidation factor on the introductory videos................

I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, I just think it is really disrespectful after being on the other side of the statement for the past few years. Just something to think about.

"this is their superbowl" has been around a long time. not necessarily a demeaning comment. and certainly not invented by anyone at VCU.

In watching the Terriers from Brooklyn, they look and play a lot like Dayton. They play ruggedly, push the ball up the court quickly and rebound well.If they get hot with hitting 3's this could be a close one.

I don't read their boards, so was not aware that this was a VCU centric saying. I will consult Front Royal in the future to ensure I am not stealing any ideas from the VCU board going forward

Is there a team that has said that more often in the last three years than RPI? I would expect them to say it about Duke or UNC if they play RPI in the ACC vs A-10 double headers the next three years.

We will neuter them.
Did we talk to someone in the Veterinarian Department at Tech? Maybe we should if we are going to start with Terriers and move on to Huskies...

Tough talk from an obvious tough guy.Dont make me laugh.Please.Meaningless bravado won't buy a small cup of coffee at a street vendor in NYC.
