Didn't attend the Longwood game but was pleasantly surprised especially by Wojcik. Stays after it and when he hit the two 3's in a row that was a preview of things to come. NS was playing great particularly at the end. Different game atmosphere with an 11 A.M. start and all the young people from Richmond area schools. Talked to some eighth graders and they said they had a really fun time. More universities are going this route to build up community support. UVA having an 11 A.M. women's game next Tuesday and bringing in the school children. Good PR move. And yes remembered to take my ear plugs because the students not only yell but shriek.
How did St Francis play BC so closely?Leading and then losing by only 5 points to host Eagles is a head scratcher.

In seriousness, they’re 18-22 year olds. They all have off days. I wouldn’t be surprised if longwood was us off, st. Francis was us on; while BC was st. Francis on and against us it was st. Francis off. Or somewhere in the middle.
Moral of the story, it’s hard to determine how good a college team is based on 1 game, especially early in the season.
We should never lose to Longwood, period.
Partially because UR, BC, UL-C, Wyoming,
St Francis, IUPUI, Grambling, Niagara
are all part of the same Ft Myers Tournament even if not all will be there.

Missed the game because of the ridiculous start time but was surprised to see the result last night.
Got to give credit when it is due but they appear to have rebounded from their first game and played much better. It was only St. Francis and we still have a loss to Longwood but maybe it’s something to build off on as the OOC schedule moves on.
