At home
IMHO, the Spiders are going to have their hands full with Colgate. They have a very good running back and a very good QB. This is gut check time for the home team.

We have GOT to be able to run the ball today in order to take some of the pressure off Lauleta and the passing game.

Coach Rocco has his hands full, keeping this team focused on the game. The team was distracted last week by the off field issues. The Spiders were man handled by an inferior team. Colgate is better than Stony Brook. We will see just how good a coach Rocco is.

tough challenge today to get back on the right track...

I agree with what many have said since last Saturday's debacle...regaining control of the offensive and defensive line of scrimmage would be a great start to most of the problems we experienced last week...

I think we will...

problem wasnt play calling early, it was Kyle was off. Lots of plays that were there. Last series he made the plays and we looked good

QB sneak 2nd and 20 ?? Yes Lauletta timing has been horrible for 3 weeks. Watching Lauletta throw just now, he seems to be throwing with pain in right elbow. Has some kind of patch on it too. He is really compensating with his shoulder. Something to watch.

Great play by Brian Brown, O-line seems to be getting their act together.

Once again, Special teams neeD's to get their sh*t together. Broken record with that group.

Special Teams are now a major concern. Huge return last week and give up 14 points this week

we sat on the ball too much last 2 series and for some reason went from rushing 4 to rushing 3.. Just too conservative all the way around. Played really aggressive to get the big lead and then closed up shop!

In today's game, we pulled something positive whenever we had to do it. I just don't understand why the offensive line is getting whipped, why just about any inside blitz works against us, and why our offensive play calling was suspect until someone decided that we actually had to move the ball, instead of running the clock. There were some great offensive and defensive performances today by individuals; but the big plays are still being given up, and for the same reasons every week. It was good to see flashes of brilliance - but disturbing to see some problems that Villanova, JMU, and W&M are going to stick up our butts if we don't fix them. Overall, proud of the Spiders for getting tough when they had to at home.

Somebody can explain to me on a read hand off from the QB to the running back. who do you hit? We hit the running back who didn't have the ball probably dozen or more times. I would think, like on an option play you always hit the QB. He is in control of who gets the ball, he will get tired of getting hit, he might fumble or just get beaten up. Any thoughts?

Question 2, again, Why are we not just kicking kick offs out of bounds, we can't seem to cover the returns

Question 3 why didn't Thompson play, He was our number two running back at UVA and now doesn't get in at all?

1. Usually a game by game decision. Some teams you'd rather the QB keep it, some you let the RB take. By letting the QB keep it you allow the outside safety to stay wide and not have to come more inside. That's a simple answer.
2. Fire/reassign Legg
3. Thompson missed a lot of blitz pickups at Stony Brook. But agree thought he would play some.
