Normal's on Central Time, so 7:30 pm start on the East Coast.

Looks like we'll be on ESPN3 again, unfortunately.

Probably not ideal from a logistics standpoint for the team but still pretty cool to play on Friday night.

Hopefully a good viewing party or two are organized around town for those not headed to Normal.

Don't like the quick turn around, especially if it's not on TV. Still like our chances if we get off to a quick start.

I do believe our next loss to an MVC team will be our first, but I only checked back to 1938...

Keep the streak alive!

Would be cool if they opened up Robins Center and screened game Friday night on our big video boards. Having hospitality suite events would be great, too. Or since it looks like here in Richmond it's supposed to be pretty warm end of the week, showing it to folks camped out on the field at Robins Stadium would be fun (like the movie night events they've done past couple of years).

Pissed that it's not on tv, I will be in Louisiana and probably can't watch it. Now I won't be able to record it, damn

If you have Chromecast, you can stream ESPN3 to a TV. I caught our basketball games versus WF and UF this way. With that said, it seems once FCS gets to quarterfinals, they could have shown all on TV on the ESPN channels.

Rick, if you have an i phone go buy apple tv. If you have an android phone buy google chromecast. I dont know how much apple TV costs, but chromecast is 30 bucks and works great streaming video from your phone to your TV as long as you have access to Wifi. Then all you have to do is download the watch ESPN app and watch the game on your TV.

Sometimes I'll connect the computer to the TV and project it to the screen

I've had trouble using laptop to project to TV with ESPN3; not with other stations. I've ended up using smart phone successfully with ESPN3

If you have DirecTV with the sports package the MVFC has a contract to broadcast our games. Most of this season we've been on the ESPN Extra channels (793) here in IL.

Streaming via XBox hasn't worked well for me, so I go strictly computer or see if it's on DTV.

The WatchESPN app has been my savior. As long as you're a cable or DTV, Dish subscriber and can enter your username/password I was able to use the mobile app. Hey, Wi-Fi and my phone has been a God-send this year.

Good luck!

After looking at some of the redbird posts, they seem to be extremely confident. They are almost dismissive of UR.

Hi Stonewall. I'm sure it looks that way from your perspective. I'd say Redbird fans are pretty well focused on getting revenge on NDSU. If anyone's looking past the Spiders I expect they'll pay handsomely. Personally, I'm looking forward to another terrific football game and a chance to see how we measure up to the Colonial's best. Should be a knockdown, drag-out fight all the way. Hope to see some of you at the game! (BTW, I go by STLRedbird over on our forum. I was in a sleep fog when I created the rivals account this morning...)

I would echo GoBirds85. Don't think our team is looking past Richmond, but many of us have a sour taste in our mouth losing in the Championship to NDSU.

The team is very focused on one at a time. Next up is Richmond and defending the Birds Nest.

I think we as ISU fans have been extremely confident all year. No disrespect to Richmond, but we have been thru the ringer of top 25 FCS teams (MVFC game) and have only one loss. We haven't lost at home in the past 3 seasons. I don't think it's cockiness, just a whole lot of confidence in our team based on their performance. We are the #2 seed playing at home, we should feel pretty confident don't you think?

You should feel confident, however, so do we. When we won the National Championship in 2008, we were not a top seed and had to win on the road to do it so we have been here before. But the thing is, your confidence and our confidence have nothing to do with the outcome of the game. That will be decided on the field by the young men that represent our respective schools. I hope that it is a great game, that no one gets seriously hurt and, of course, that The Spiders prevail! Good luck to both teams and GO SPIDERS!
