Secret Scrimmage

My expectations are that we will be better than NC State. That said, the scrimmage results don't tell us much. Did we play lineups, that we won't in regular season, to see how well prepared, our younger players are? State, may have played the rotation, they already, expected to play?

But, given that my expectations for this year are so high, it's disappointing that State outscored us, regardless. But it's only, 2 weeks till we meet JMU at RC. That should answer a lot of questions.

shot in the dark interpretation on this.

Clearly SJ is our 1, and TA and TJ are our starting front court.

Julius Johnson could start at two and push TD to the three, DT to bench.
Marshall Wood could start at three and push DT to bench. This leaves us a little thin with frontcourt depth unless PF is ready to play meaningful minutes. That is why PF started -- to see if he is ready for the big time.

So this scrimmage was designed in part to see if we can get Julius Johnson and/or Marshall Wood in the starting lineup, or at least see major minutes at the two/three position.

You mean as opposed to the post you quoted being a completely fictitious response to a request for our starting five at an event that no one attended?

Either is possible. our score resulting from a lineup to evaluate players or not. No one has knowledge so we can only speculate.

The stretch from Nov. 18th to Dec 5th is critical to at large chances. From some of the pre season interviews with the team, it does seem that this is being emphasized internally as well. Hope we can figure out the chemistry and replacement of Kendall quickly.
