may be more accurate like this:

I think the 5 is his best position, but he's thin for the 5 in the A10. he might do well there at a lower conference.
Sal was a small forward in high school. I don't understand why that would naturally translate to being a 5, even in our system. It's not surprising to me that he didn't see the floor much, I get the sense that he was developed as a big based on height, not based on what position he might be more natural at.

he played more 4 than 5 for us, coming in when he did for Cayo.
he doesn't have the face up game to be a 3. or at least didn't show it here.

Clearly not, I guess that’s part of my point. We tend not to recruit size and instead try to fit bigger guys into spots they arguably aren’t suited for. It’s not like Sal was a better back to the basket prospect.

Hope Sal has a great year at Radford, I will be following and rooting for him!! Just looked, see that Darris Nichols is the coach at Radford now, played for Beilein.
Beilein was on the cusp of something great here. Shame his son wasn't one year older at the time, would of had JB at least 3 more seasons and imagine would of done quite a bit of damage in the A10 before he moved on the greener pastures.
