Last good recruit that didn't have ties to the city of Richmond was Khwan Fore. That's it. Look at the recent results of recruits we've targeted, it's atrocious

Mooney and his staff can't recruit, plain and simple
Whew! Ignorance is bliss! OSC

32, just look at our roster; they are the ones we have gotten. IMHO, all currently on our roster have contributed. A few have been injured and this has made them contribute less. Don't know what you are getting at with your "Richmond connection" statement. Personally, the Ulla would hope that we would get more contributors from the city. Just not smart enough to get your reasoning. Have a great evening. OSC

If I didn't hate VCU with every fiber of my being, I might consider it. While I hate them, I do admire there top to bottom commitment to winning.
This probably deserves it's own thread, but why would someone "hate" another school? Dislike, root against, find fault, etc. But "hate VCU with every fiber" sounds a little psychopathic to me. They're just another college trying to be victorious in their sport of basketball. HATE- that's ridiculous.

IMHO, all currently on our roster have contributed.

Sorry, but this is just not true.

My fault I didn't clarify. All three of our 2016 guys had Richmond connections that helped us in their recruitment. I was trying to allude that Mooney wouldn't have gotten them if they didn't have those ties.

Lastly, I do agree that the RVA has a giant pool of D1 talent. I think that the 2016 class will help us tremendously in getting more players from the 804. I truly believe we could field an NCAA tournament team with mostly players from the city

The incoming recruits look good this year, but given they haven't set foot on a college court yet, a proclamation of greatness is a bit premature. Whereas we have all seen our last 3 classes Mooney has brought in and Khwan Fore looks really good. Everyone else has either transferred out or is a role player.

And Annap, don't take everything so literally, I have a Masters from VCU and many friends colleagues who go there. Nice school, I don't like their hoops team though.

have never suggested that any of us meet with CM to have an end of season evaluation, that would be silly. however, if i thought i knew how to improve our team, our program, as some on here seem to think, then feel it would be my duty as an alum, a shareholder, a fan, a season ticket holder, to walk in his office and relay those points to him. just feel that if you are going to torpedo him, ask for his dismissal, know what is wrong, then you should man up and go talk with him about how you see the program and what he needs to do to change things, improve things. people go in to see our coaches all the time, not like the doors are locked and they are hiding.
You misread me or I misstated what you said. I thought that you said that it would be silly to even consider an end of the year fan with w coach. Sorry if I stated it in a manner in which it could be misconstrued. I agree with you totally.
