Many of you on this site will object to this, however, I am pulling for VCU over Ohio State. Every win the A-10 gets is a victory for us. It also give me satisfaction that we sweep the regular season series over them. Finally, Thad Matta is a jerk, going back to his days at Xavier, when David West got into a fight and Matta did nothing to stop it. He just sat there and laughed.

And another post. Were the other 25 not enough?

Let's resolve to not talk about them over here. Let's resolve to worry about our own team. Part of All in for 2015-16.

If you want to talk about them, head over to Lamb Nation.

I tried that. They banned me. I was sad.

Ding, dong, the witch is dead. Hey, the Spiders are still playing on TV and have a date with Arizona State on Sunday.

K and Ulla must be very happy. They got their wish. Stonewall, you could be lynched for starting this thread.

You admonished me and told me to wait until Ohio State won, so I did. :)

Ain't it great. Travel to the west coast for a few minutes on TruTV. VCU is a joke! Ha Ha.

Ulla, you are correct, one and done. Who has been zero and done the last five years?

bb, you lost and I loved it. Why are you trolling on your arch rival's message board? What do you think you are going to see on here? The far majority of us enjoy see RPI lose because you are our rival. I'm sure the majority of RPI fans would enjoy seeing us lose on Sunday because we are your rival. Go lick your wounds elsewhere and we will see you next year. Should be two great games between our teams next year.

No no, you've got it all wrong. bb is not a fan of VCU, he's just a "basketball fan"....who only posts here to defend VCU.

Touché! Grahmn was a warrior out there and appreciate his toughness. Doug Brooks was on fire that first half, raining 3s.
I respect Shaka and despise Matta so leaned towards the A10 and the Rams. Our games next year should be great ones again.

Have no respect for Mr. Smart and the thugs he recruits. Really great to see another one and done.

To the RPI troll who came on this board and called us their "little brother", I have one question for you. Who's YOUR daddy?

Nothing pleases me more than a win over our crosstown rivals, but to call the players thugs is wrong. Most of their players seem to be decent kids and good sports. It only helps us when VCU or any other A-10 team does well in the NCAAs. I was unashamedly rooting for VCU the whole game. I actually thought Graham got fouled on that last drive in regulation. Oh, well, they played hard and pretty well overall, and just think, we beat them twice this year.

Even though I picked OSU based upon my gut and a bit of analytical thought, I agree with your post. Your post reflects a big picture view.

What a great game, rivalry or not. VCU players answered every gut check, I hate Matta, I was hoping the guys downtown would win. FWIW , despite the fans, I really like their seniors. Okay to pile on now.

One and done, just like last year. The traveling circus show will have to pack up the tent for another year. Hopefully, they delouse it first.

I think the last time I saw Ohio State play basketball was when Ralph Sampson dropped 40 on Clark Kellogg on Super Sunday in 1981. Ralph fouled out Ohio State's whole front court. 89-73 UVA

I don't think VCU players are thugs. I think they're more clones than anything. They all seem like they all do the same thing, and if one falls there's another one on the bench to fill in their spot. I felt this way for the past few years. But when Weber went down and they went into a spiral, I was a bit surprised that one player made that much of a difference on a team with 100 4 star recruits reprogrammed to do "Hack-voc".

That being said, I'm extremely happy they lost. Suck it, VCU.

I had the good fortune to meet one of their ff stars a few months ago. He was a very nice person. It was a good thing.

Plus one. Their players were really good sports after our thriller at the Robins Center. Graham hugged Kendall and mutual respect was obvious.

Graham has been a great competitor. Good luck to him in the future.

perfect ending. vcu played well, lost, but showed they could and maybe should have won over OSU. and we beat them twice.
I personally couldn't stand vcu playing another day, so thank goodness.

I was glad to see VCU lose. I do agree that Graham seems like a good guy. I do find it interesting that Shaka does not seem to have improved his half court offense or defense - just some egregious break downs in half court man - stuff I yell at my 8th graders for constantly. Thought Reggie Miller did a good and fair job announcing - he called out Graham for poor help defense and chasing his man and not seeing the ball. Also questioned some of the hideous block/charge calls. Tough way to lose, game could have gone either way.

any dislike, hatred, should not be personal, directed at their players at all, that is not the point. it is about rpi/vdu, not people. i like my friends, who had no choice but to go there and our banter is cordial, unless they cross the or a line, then the gloves come off and it may lead to a more personal situation. that has not happened as of yet and hope it does not.
