Revenue sharing in A10?

Apparently Davidson has sent a letter within the last week to all (alums, season ticket holders etc) that they are all in on supporting basketball to whatever funding level is required. I’m honestly partially surprised, but the letter apparently states that Men’s Basketball it a critical part of the school’s identity. The A10 Commissioner mentioned it on an A10 podcast from Field of 68. I tried a quick search and could not find anything on this letter, so just based on what McGlade said.

Nothing else of real interest on the interview to me. They were asking about required investments, season to date, and league size.
Pay or quit.

UR expected to opt-in to the house settlement. One quote from the article “UR has invested too much in its flagship sport to proceed in any other direction, which would essentially equate to de-emphasis.” Love to see us committing to this. Sign that we still want to be serious program.

Bernadette says programs are expected to invest 1-3 million. Another quote that references UR sending out letters soon “He continues with an emphasized plea for increased financial support from Davidson alumni and fans. That sort of request will be circulated also at Richmond and dozens of other Division I schools.”

Another quote from the article that caught my eye. “Richmond's determination to remain in the Atlantic 10 Conference may not apply to league membership across the board, this year or in future years. The composition of the 14-school league (Massachusetts, currently the 15th school, leaves in July for the Mid-American Conference) could change in response to revenue sharing, which at the A-10 level may be too expensive for some members” . Looks like this saying other programs currently in the A10, may not have the same determination as Richmond to remain in A10. What do you all think the A10 will look like in the next 5-10 years?

That article was very disjointed. I'm glad Mooney called it "fully professional basketball". That is what it is now. Players are being paid by the schools to play hoops.

I guess u can say those r quotes from the article but nobody is being quoted. For instance I would rather a UR admin be on record about investing and committment than JOC possibly doing their bidding. & JOC projects often...which is fine he's allowed...he'll get some wrong some right like anyone else...but I wouldn't read too much into sending out letters for $ and that the A10 membership could change in an era where there is continued league movement. just common sense from JOC not any inside info.

Yeah Mooney called it pro basketball a couple times from press conference last week, that is where all the Moon quotes come from.
