I was looking at the remaining conference schedules for teams competing for those last 2 top 4 slots (of course other things may happen opening up any of the top 4). In addition to us at 8-3, I looked at URI 7-3 (8 remaining), St Bona 6-4 (8), LaSalle 6-4 (8), GMU 5-5 (8), Davidson 5-5 (8). Remaining opponents, UR, 33-39, 4 at 5-5 or better, 2 at 5-5; URI, 41-39, 5 at 5-5 or better, 2 at 5-5; St Bona, 33-48, 3 at 5-5 or better, 1 at 5-5; LaSalle, 37-44, 3 at 5-5 or better, all above 5-5; GMU 46-36, 5 at 5-5 or better, 1 at 5-5; Davidson, 48-33, 6 at 5-5 or better, 1 at 5-5.

I think the La Salle game is the toughest game we have left on our schedule, and we will only be 2 or 3 point underdogs. Every game we have left is winnable, but 5 or 6 the 7 are basically toss-ups.

La Salle's defense is really bad, but they can hit a lot of threes and if they do it is hard to keep up. Our opponents have shot 30.6% from 3 so far this year, which is 19th best in the country for 3pt defense. La Salle has the 39th best 3FG% in the country. I have a feeling this is going to come down to who is shooting better from 3.

Vcu will still be a tough game for us too.

True, La Salle went cold at Mason and lost by 20 or so and gave up near a 100 points.

I would never worry about LaSalle more than VCU.
VCU at home vs. LaSalle on the road. The road game is tougher. Without their crowd, VCU is a slightly above average team with no top-100 road wins. We're going to smoke them.

Until Mooney can figure out Paulson, Mason will be a tough game for us. Much like GW couldn't check our guards, we got abused by Mason's guards.

KenPom projects us to go 3-4 over the last 7. We can do better than that!

Clearly weed was legalized where you live.
I agree with 8 legger. I think we come out and play really well and beat vcu's face in. They aren't that good if not in the Costco. No too worried about la salle but very worried about mason.

Agreed. Of the next 3 games, I give us the least chance of winning at Google Mooney. They own us.

Then again because several games are close to 50% win probabilities KenPom may be saying in aggregate we will be 4-3 over final 7.

2 point underdog in next 3 (LaSalle, GMU, VCU)
1 point underdog at UMass
1 point favorite over Davidson
2 point favorite at Fordham

But let's start with LaSalle - they could be down 2 players. They were against GMU.

I know that 3 years have passed since the last post on this thread, but anyone has any thoughts on the conference schedule for the end of this year? I have noticed that every single year, at the beginning of it, I look for the conference schedule, just to make an idea about the chances of winning that my favorite team has. For the last 4 years, each of these schedules looked great, and I thought we might actually have a chance. Unfortunately, in the end, I always get kratom near me to console the bitter taste of the failure of my team again and again.
