I would like to thank Coach Rocco and the football team for refusing to abide by the sound statistic principle of regression to the mean. We graduated a large number of players last year, dealt with some key injuries during the season, and using the bonafied "statistical fact", the team probably have been a 6-5 or 7-4 team at best.
Perhaps, these games are not all about statistics. Perhaps, sound coaching, good, consistent recruiting, allowing younger players to show themselves and putting them in a position to succeed has something to do with this whole winning thing as well.
