Our second half defense

Were we playing a pack line defense in the second half? If not, what was it?

I have never seen us play that style of D before, and I am not sure what to make of it. It seemed like a 3-2 zone for awhile, then a 2-3 zone, then straight man, then a box and one. It was definitely different. I didn't particularly like it all the time, because we seemed to be giving them more wide-open looks than normal, and also allowing them to move uncontested to the free-throw line.

But at the same time, they didn't really convert a ton off of it. It seemed to me that we played our normal defense for most or all of the first half, then switched it up because they went on that run to end the first half.

Eight, it seemed to me that the defense held up well until the last 5 seconds and then they would just "dump it in the zone" and no one would box out #11 of ASU on the miss. He would just grab and stick it back in. Finally the last couple of plays in OT Kendall, yes Kendall, took it upon himself to box #11 out so Terry could get a rebound. I know he was thinking, Geez I will just do it myself!!!!

I kind of thought ASU's defense looked a little similar to ours. Maybe it was familiarity for their offense in what they may face in practices.
