OT: Woj bomb!

wasn't the dusclosure for NIL, not revenue sharing?

Correct. The $600 threshold is not for schools paying rev share directly. It's for outside NIL, or I guess collectives that do fake NIL. And it goes to some 3rd party clearinghouse. So idk if they'll be disclosure to public on that anyway, or really how much disclosure of these deals outside the school they'll be at all.

I don't think schools will disclose squat...on record. Unless some of it will be subject to FOIA for the publics. That might be only way. But I'm sure they'll try to claim exemption from FOIA.

But the bigger schools are likely the ones offering the guaranteed money deals in those ranges.
in what range? high majors are spending way more than $100k on players.
heck, supposedly Holmes was getting $1M from Dayton!
I'm confident starting A10 players are getting low 6 figures.
and it's all been guaranteed until Woj threw out this bad concept.

Agree - the best high majors are paying more. Do you think UR is spending 300-400K a piece on its top 6-7 players?

I have a hard time believing it. I expect schools like Dayton, VCU, SLU, and now the Bonnies with the help of Woj to make those top dollar payments and probably pay some top guys 500K+ and maybe once in a while throw out a crazy number to someone. Then lower guys get 100-200K.

I think at UR - its more like the top guys might get 100-200K and lower end guys are getting less than 100K, maybe even 50K. What was the word Hardt used - was it sensible? Nothing is sensible about paying a kid 1 million to play college basketball at a mid-major, but its not about that anymore.
