Observations watching vcu and Dayton

I'm watching the vcu game and there are a few things I feel like sharing about it. Anyone else notice the cowboy hats all the vcu fans have on? Not sure what that is but I have somewhat an idea, I think their fans wanted to show Dayton that they are a southern school so they wore yellow cowboy hats. vcu isn't a southern school, I think we all know that none of their fans had ever seen a cowboy hat before and probably didn't even know how to put it on. Also what's up with the guys dressed as Elvis and prince sitting under the basket? I bet Bobby Bobinson is real coked out for this one. Probably taking about 5 lines right now at halftime. Fun game to watch I hope Dayton pulls it out.

VCU is such a terrible shooting team. I enjoy watching this game knowing that whatever happens is good for us, but I am rooting for Dayton, obviously. I would like VCU to have as little chance of an at-large as possible.

Cox has barely scored recently. Tillman is a load. I don't see Lewis going off on us this year, and their other guards don't worry me. They don't have the kind of big bodies at the 2-3 they used to have, so I think Buck/JJ/Nick can D them up pretty well. Their big guys are going to have to beat us, because the guards won't.

Very anxious to see how Buck and Nick handle playing at the Costco. You know they want to play well to say the least.
They will sacrifice Cox to beat up on TJ and let Tillman second chance us to death. We will need to contest for rebounds.

Was thinking the same thing. MAC has taken a step back this year so I'm not as concerned about him. Curious to see how NS and DMB perform in a gym they played in quite often. If their shots fall think we win. If not going to be a rock fight but that favors VCU style. If we can not shoot 3s and somehow manage to win, then this is a very Versital win.

I think Buck and Nick go off. They are Richmond boys and want to light it up over there. I expect one or both of them to play really well.

"Probably the toughest place to play in college basketball, vcu is basically a top 5 team"- that's me speaking like a vcu fan.

Lewis is their key. If you can keep him from scoring the rest of the team struggles. Brooks and Burgess are hot/cold, more cold that hot but can light it up on occasion. Tillman is a load and we have to keep a body on him on the glass. I don't understand how some teams play Williams. he can't shoot the three and the only way he scores is on driving layups and free throws. I would have his defender inside the three point line to help clog up the lane. Doughty has game but he sometimes disappears as well. On defense, all they want to do is steal the ball and block shots. I have seen team after team beat them off the dribble and score easy layups. VCU can be red hot or ice cold. Dayton lost the game at the foul line and by giving VCU too many second chances. I predict Dayton wins the rematch. This game is winnable if we go in their with that attitude.

I think WE ARE TOUGH TEAM . Fo you see how different it is this year? Yes we have some fancy players but this team is to fight and not back down. I had a dog who fight anything, it fight the german shep or s rottweill even if it was small . It always made the statement to other dog that i will fight you . For our basketball team they also say we are not to back down. This personsality is just showing now . DO YOU SEE THIS TOO? nice to watch. Being called the everyday player is an honor my friends

Let's hope TJ doesn't get two quick ones then. Ref's get caught up in Costco atmosphere and want to please the crowd. Makes it tougher.
