only 1-3 in Quad 1 games, Quad 1 is defined as:

A "Quad 1" game in women's NET rankings refers to a game played against an opponent ranked within the top 30 NET rankings at home, top 50 NET rankings on a neutral court, and top 75 NET rankings on the road; essentially, a game against a highly ranked opponent regardless of where the game is played, giving the most weight to home games against top teams.

Next up #329 St Bonaventure tomorrow night at 6pm in RC

Then followed by #130 VCU in the RC on Sunday at 2pm.

See you all there!

That 7–2 Q4 record hurts if selections were being made today. #25 Utah is the only other team in the top 43 with even 1 Q4 loss.

On the flip side, that Oklahoma State win is looking nice. They moved into the AP poll this week, tied for 24th at 14–2. The other 3 Q1 losses won't hurt us, but damn, would have loved to have one of those. The Alabama (currently #18 NET, #19 AP) one was there for the taking.

I hope the committee recognizes that criteria for Q4 is a lot harsher in women’s basketball than in men’s basketball and taking that into account. We have several quality wins now: @Temple, @Fairfield, neutral OK State, neutral Columbia, and vs. George Mason, @Davidson with several more opportunities coming up too.

Just gotta keep plugging away. As it stands right now, St. Joe's at home and away are both Q2, Duquesne on the road is a Q3, and everything else is Q4. Despite the A-10 being the 8th-rated conference.

I'd think the Committee has to look at those things a bit differently. Everyone is going to have more Q4 games under this criteria and I'd guess there will be a lot more Q4 losses amongst bubble teams too. Take away one of those losses and give us the win vs Bama and I say we were a lock barring anything disastrous. But seeing the quads for the rest of the way, its clear why we had to schedule so agressively in the OOC and love that we did what we could to get us a shot!

I think one of the underrated downsides of that scheduling though is that you come out flat and without the energy you need for the lesser games in the midst of all those big games and I think we saw that with us this year.

Loss to Fordham certainly wasn't the best, but Fordham looks to be playing very well in conference play. I think this team has the experience and discipline to not slip up and bring the energy every game. Roussell talked about it in a recent Women's basketball presser about playing with confidence. Lot of good games left for us to play and if we get our NET in top 30, I think we will be a lock.

Anyone think today's game vs vcu is gonna be packed? GA game...think there's a need to get there by 130? Assuming parking is everyone for himself....

I think the women just need to keep handling their business in the A10. If they can wrap up A10 season with 2, 3 at the most losses - they should be good. Might need a win in the A10 tourney, but really they should be fine.

Now - to win a game in the NCAA, its all about seeding. They need to get 10 or above seed to have a good chance. If they falter below that - it becomes very difficult. But given this teams ability to shoot and make 3's - anything is possible. They just need to catch fire at the right time, and for them - the right time is March. But right now - they might be looking at 8-9 seed, and maybe even up to a 7 seed if they can run through A10 and win A10 title - maybe even sneak into a 6 seed.

Fairfield has a weak schedule in the MAAC, but they've been able to move up 20 spots in the past few weeks by absolutely killing their conference opponents. Their average margin of victory in MAAC play is 32 points, and over the past three games it's been 44 points.
