NBA Draft

teams could do a lot worse in the late 2nd round than Grant or Jacob.
For sure. I just don't see Grant being quick enough for an NBA team to draft, and Jacob's not big enough, most likely. But I have been pleasantly surprised by the attention Jake has gotten so far, so it might not be a total longshot for it to happen. I have no doubt he could add something to an NBA team.

Guys we played against last year:

#8 Obi Toppin (Dayton -> Knicks)
#13 Kira Lewis Jr. (Alabama -> Pelicans)
#14 Aaron Nesmith (Vandy -> Celtics)
#38 Saben Lee (Vandy -> Jazz)
#56 Grant Riller (Charleston -> Hornets)

how do you have two NBA draft picks on the roster and finish 3-15 in conference? and they were both on the roster the year before that on a team that went 0-18 in conference??!

to be fair Nesmith was hurt & missed the SEC conference season otherwise Vandy probably would have helped our NET a bit more last year. He played in OOC.

Also year before they had a lottery pick (Garland) to go along with those 2, but he missed basically entire season with injury. So they've bee unlucky w injuries.

That said yeah fair to expect better results. NBA picks not always a lock. Wainwright only got Depaulful to the NIT with 2 NBA draft picks. Ole Jer's best season. Tho not 0-18.
