MLAX 2023 Schedule

Extra man opportunities hurt as St. Joe's was 2 for 2 and we were 0 for 3. Teams are evenly matched and hopefully we will get another shot at them in end of season A-10 tournament.

Zach Cole for Joes is one of the better FO in the country. He’s an All American with a 65% win.
UR lost the FO battle 18-13.

He is for sure, was a pleasure to watch. Just wish we could get a player like that for our selves every now and again.

Phew...Spiders survive against a solid UMass squad, 13–12. Spiders were up 13–9 with under 4 to go and then gave up 3 quick goals. Won the FO coming out of the third one with 2 minutes to go and were able to hold the ball most of the rest of the way.

Lots of good games across the A10 to start the season past couple of weeks. Much more competitive and fun to follow than the Socon/asun

Honestly liked the SoCon/ASUN setup since it gave a pretty good path to auto bids for the Spiders. A-10 will need to show it can be in a position to earn at-large bids here and there or I'm not exactly sure what the upgrade does other than make it tougher to get the auto.

But with all the conference shifting, the SoCon had no future. Of course, the ASUN has returned in its place, but that's such a weird mega conference with teams all over the country. Utah, Jax, Air Force all solid though.

It definitely will be harder to get an auto-bid, but hopefully being geographically in the footprint of the northeast will open the door for better recruits long term. Hopefully with the conference sponsoring it now, a couple of more schools will look into adding it to help with the growth. Davidson, GW, Duquense and Fordham with the right alignment would be great lax schools.

No one in the A10 this season beat any of the big boys.No wins vs ACC,Ivy,B10,BE.
The A10 as a LAX conference will be elevated when and if its members consistently beat the big boys.If you win v big boys then you have a shot at an at-large bid.
UR let the Georgetown game turn into a loss after a solid lead and both UVA and UMD took us to the woodshed and beat us unmercifully.

Watched the Hobart video of the game. Give them credit for broadcasting the game without charge. There was no sound provided which must have been a mistake as their Hobart videos during timeouts had sound. High scoring game.

Audio was supplied by a local radio station. It was out of synch with video but beggars can’t be choosers.iPhone had the audio,iPad had the video.

Where can I hear coverage of HWS athletic contests?
Our parent organization is Hobart and William Smith Colleges. We provide extensive sports coverage of HWS Athletics on our sister station, WHWS 105.7FM in Geneva. But due to schedule conflicts we still air some sports, namely Hobart football and Hobart lacrosse, on WEOS in the fall and spring, respectively. There is a full schedule posted on the WHWS website. Additional coverage is available on the HWS Athletics site.

Most points for men's lacrosse in a game and first undefeated season at home. Next up UMass - very similiar season to us and record - with difference being we beat them 13-12 at Robins Stadium. Will be a tough rematch. Having A-10 tourney at Robins is a plus.
