Here are some other interesting observations from tonight’s greatest show of mirth:

3. This team actually shoots free throws well.

100% free throw percentage on 16 attempts. I call that excellent.

Maybe we are just missing some words when Mooney speaks, “We have an excellent free throw shooting team.” /s

And this game was basically close the entire second part of the second half.... and this was literally the first time you went offense/defense the ENTIRE game. I legitimately can NOT believe i watched 2.5 hours of this to watch him get subbed out with no recourse (and the 'rule' is not the issue). Seriously, even if he didn't know the rule (and we can discuss this separately) he somehow KNEW that Miller was gonna take a TO or the refs were gonna stop the game to check the clock after a make?

The guy is a completely inept coach and the only thing more inept than him is the administration and AD of U of R for having this imbecile coach the bball team for more than 20 years. Or maybe its us idiots for supporting him and the program all that time.

He’s a Patriot League or Ivy League coach in the A-10. Leagues where they can keep players for long periods and they can learn his convoluted system. It sort of worked when he was able to get players who were fast learners or stayed for long periods of time. With this new age of the portal players will have difficulty learning his system.

His level of success before the portal came into effect doesnt collaborate your theory. He has never been a consistent winner. Just look at his record in the A10 tourney and against VCU. They are putrid. Id say he is a NEC/Big South caliber coach who likely would have trouble being above average in those leagues.

I honestly do not know enough about BB to know if PL is a move up or down, but if it is a move down the WBB program will have to go also and the Administration has already destroyed one good Spider program moving there, do not give them any ideas.
