No doubt Mooney bears the lion's share of the responsibility, and i'm plenty critical of him as well.
I agree, but I am not gonna go too crazy about Tanner's comments. While I can agree that it sounded pretty bad, losing a lot will lead to a lot of comments like that heading into the new year. It is always convenient to say we need to be more focused or more committed, or more serious and all that instead of what was obviously a bad roster with not a lot of athleticism and talent.I don't blame Hunt. Setting the tone is the HC job, not the assistants, not the AD, not the managers, not the players. I do think having a player lead team is ideal, BUT if players are not responding the HC needs to step
Yep the ingrained mind set is very hard to overcome. Regime change seems to be the only option for a full reboot. There’s still so much talk about it taking guys who have been here a year “time to learn the system”.
We are literally dinosaurs if we can’t modify how we play to take advantage of guys in their first year here.
What is the point of redshirts and walk-ons during this era? There’s still so much talk about it taking guys who have been here a year “time to learn the system”.

I wonder if it's more "time to hopefully improve a lot" than just "learn the system". We have played plenty of freshmen good minutes. Tyler, Jacob, Goose, Nick, and Buck being the most recent. They did not need to wait to "learn the system". Which is probably the main issue. Since Tyler, we have recruited poorly, so it could be more a lack of talent issue than a learn the system issue. There’s still so much talk about it taking guys who have been here a year “time to learn the system”.

You make valid points, but some guys are still learning as they play. OK, but cannot have many of those on floor at once and it also works best if you have that "floor general".I wonder if it's more "time to hopefully improve a lot" than just "learn the system".
