Lauletta to the Giants

They kept 3 last year (Manning, Taney, Lauletta), but dressed 2 on game days (usually Manning & Tanney).

The Giants went for it on the Patriots' 25 yard line on 4th and 3. Kyle threw a lightning pass for a 16 yard gain. The score is 29-25 NE.

The Giants have the ball back. This is Kyle's chance. 1st and 10 on the Giants 30, with 2 minutes left.

I would love to see him go elsewhere, maybe the Steelers or Patriots (but please not the Redskins)

Kyle played very well. He had a touchdown and 2 point pass dropped, several other dropped passes and 4 dropped interceptions.

Well, Kyle has to be loving that, since he grew up in that area. Good luck to him!

he should be striving to make the minimum number of years to vest in the nfl pension plan. one never knows what can happen if you just keep hanging on. case keenum who came into the league from univ of houston's fun and gun offense was an afterthought, short, slow, and nobody thought he had any future but is now in his 7th or 8th year and has started and gone to the playoffs. do the work, show up on time and wait for your chance, then make the most of it. think he can be claimed off the practice squad if another team needs a qb and then the eagles have to activate him off the practice squad or let him go and the new team has to put him on the active roster, at least think that is how it works.

Looks like you got it.

Player eligibility
Not all players are eligible for the practice squad, which limits the pool of players who can be added to the 10-man squad. Teams are allowed to sign four players with two accrued seasons to the practice squad. The other six players must have fewer than two years of experience. Players can’t stay on the practice squad for more than three seasons. A player must be on the practice squad for a minimum six games for that season to count toward the three-year limit.

Minimum salary
According to the current CBA, players on the practice squad will make a minimum of $8,000 per week. There is no limit on how much a practice squad player can make per week, however.

With a season being 17 weeks, the minimum yearly salary is $136,000.

Signing process
Teams can begin assembling their practice squad at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, Sept. 1 after players clear waivers. Waiver claims must be submitted by 12 p.m. ET.

Player “poaching”
Players on the practice squad aren’t protected from being signed by other teams. Teams are allowed to sign players from other teams’ practice squads, but they don’t immediately revert to their practice squad. If a player is signed off another team’s practice squad, he has to be elevated to the signing team’s 53-man roster for at least three weeks, while also earning three weeks salary.

I’m sure that Kyle doesn’t read this. And I know he hears this from others (at least he should be) but he can really help himself by being the first person in and the last to leave. So the other teams that you’re willing to work hard as the practice squad QB. Chances will come along and you teams want to know you’ll do whatever it takes to quickly pick up the playbooks.
