Second-seeded Miami, which scored just 18 points in the first half and trailed by 18 early in the second, staged a furious rally and upset top-seeded Richmond 63-61 in the NIT quarterfinals in a rambunctious Robins Center, the Spiders' home.

It was an atmosphere that Jim Larranaga described as "just like Cameron," the fabled arena in which Miami pulled off a midseason shocker at No. 4 Duke.

I just posted this on another thread. I nearly fell out of my chair when i read it.

Let's do it again next year! Please!

Saw your post Mo but thought it deserved its own topic because it is a huge compliment.

Very impressive for sure. I have never been to a game in Cameron, but I do think with the way our crowds have been this past week and the acoustics of the new arena, I can't imagine many places being more intense or louder.

I wonder if there is anything to the idea that since there was very little in the way of electronic prompting, everyone knew they had to be loud throughout on their own? It's interesting to think about. It felt like a different arena the past two games, that's for sure.

Did coach Larranaga say that because he won at Cameron too. HaHa! It was a great crowd the past 5 home games. I think we could be building a larger local fan base. My daughter pointed out some fans wearing the bandanas on their heads like our new Duck Dynasty mascot. We loved it. Great idea.

Duck Dynasty Dude is great. My wife works in communications at the university and ushered him down to the student section last night. Apparently his son is considering going to UR...they are from Orange and he drove an hour up to the game after randomly going on Sunday after they visited and did a tour of campus.

So great to see that kind of interest from someone who has such limited affiliation to the university.
