Ivy League joining FCS playoffs

And while I'm on the football board, watching a bowl game, and in to my 2nd woody; when did Tulane start wearing power blue and white?? I thought they are the Green Wave. Did that change like Indians/Griffins/Tribe? I thought I was watching UNC for chrissakes...

Primary color had always been green with light blue as secondary color. A couple years ago they switched it. Who knows why? I'm with you, it doesn't look right.

Couple of things that came to mind with news about Ivy coming in playoffs.

I would guess if Ivy League started participating in playoffs, they would become a two-bid league before the Patriot many years.
Even this year the PL champion was not in the top 16 seeds for a home game their first week in playoffs.
CAA might also see teams on bubble begin to fall by the wayside more quickly than in the past or at the very least not be seeded in top 16 for a home game in the first round.

Hope a home playoff game does not become a thing of the past for Spider Football due to this move, even if Spiders win conference championships.

I would think that having a Southern Conference team on the schedule for the next few years would help strength of schedule if Spiders won those games and W&M.

The FBS games scheduled for the future could well be bought out. I do not know the ends and outs, but buying a home game with a decent FCS team might be a way to use the money, of course Spiders need to win the game for it to help with At Large considerations.
Scheduling Delaware State and Morgan State for home and home series to pad the win/lose record because your CAA schedule is enough to carry you to At Large bids if you go 6-2 in conference will probably not be enough in PL to get in top 16 seeds in future, or maybe not enough to get an At Large.

The addition of the Ivies may help to return the FCS power to the Eaast Coast where it belongs. Rising waters float all boats.
