It's George. Yes, that one - not the other one.

I said before I didn’t like Grant hedging so far out, and it’s burning us so far. The help down low hasn’t been good enough tonight. Plenty of time to get it together though.

Golden is so weak on defense. And why the hell is he running all over the place?

Guard the post.

Will Mooney press to up the tempo? GW has us in a grind it out game in which we usually suck. Mooney out coached in first half. Let’s hope he does something other than pray.

We sound tired and uninterested. Or so tight we squeak when we walk. Better pick it up.

What the hell was that from Golden on defense... backs up as the guy nears the basket and he lets the guy get a layup.

Why when they reverse a foul is it always an intentional or tech that gives two shots and the ball?

Yes it was a foul on Burton. I saw that live. And you made the wrong call but why are you double penalizing the Spiders?

It was a basic foul. Just because you are a terrible ref doesn’t mean you need to give extra to the other team.

They considered both flagrant 1 fouls I believe.

Why?

It looked like a common foul on Burton. Which is ball to GW. Not two shots and the ball.
They seem to always call the flagrant only when they screw up and reverse it.

The original call was a foul on GW and they reversed it when they went to the review.

I didn’t think common fouls were reviewable. If you’re going to overturn, it has to be called a flagrant going the other way.

But maybe I’m wrong.

They called a common foul on GW and then went to review it.

Initial call was a common foul on GW. Then they reversed that foul (ref said right to the radio guys “take the foul off white and and give a hook and hold to red”).

The hook and hold on Burton is a flagrant. There was a hold but no hook. The hook and hold call was put in place to protect the player from injury.

It was a bad missed call on Burton who did hold the arm. But an even worse over-call on the flagrant on Burton.

It’s been a common thing this year in college b-ball now that the refs can review potential flagrants (hook and holds, elbows above the shoulder). They make the wrong call and then not only reverse it but they over react.

The announcers suggested that the only way they can justify their taking a look at the foul and changing it is if they call it a blatant. So I suppose there may be a self-justification factor at work.

Road wins are always tough. Survive and advance. Shocked that we missed two two-shot fouls in the final minute.
