We are 11 point favorites, down from 12.5. Spiders on Sale!

I hope you all didn't talk about a potential letdown at the office or type it into your computer keyboards.

If we get the 4th straight sellout for this one I'll be impressed. Hope so because if we lose and don't sellout it will be the fan's fault.

No sellout on a “school nite”. Will be nice crowd for a Wed. Just keep energy up students !

This would be a worse loss than the Radford one, according to NET. So don't lose. Instead, win. That is all.

Yes, it would be bad to be a team that lost a home game to this team. Might really effect your resume and your confidence. I'd hate to be that team...

So let's go out and prove the NET correct that GMU is one worse than LaSalle...

I am going to watch the game at home tonight because I'm worried we might have a letdown after the big win over VCU. I hope the rest of you can pick up the slack for me.

Oh sorry, you are right. I deeply apologize that I just typed that into my computer (actually it was my smartphone so maybe Mooney won't be pissed at me because he didn't specially ban such thoughts/talk on smartphones or tablets). I hope I wasn't a distraction to the team or our other fans. But at least Mooney will now have an excuse if he once again can't beat the GooMoos.

You should get off your a*** and head to the game!!! If not, you are expecting a letdown!!!

I rarely say this but I think UR wins by 20 tonight. Francis goes off for 25 points. Sherod hits 4 threes and Gilyard has 5 steals.

Grace only cost us two points while Golden was out. Not bad. Francis hasn’t let Greene see the ball yet

We have to suffer through the “academic sports teams” that don’t show up for the game. Hard to clap for anyone but the football team.

It’s been 26-19 for 10 minutes. We should be up by 20.
3.5 minutes but I hear you. Ugly. I just hope we're a little less ugly than them. It looks like Mooney's plea for energy in the house anticipated this. He knows himself well.

I am totally serious here; what do you guys see in this Sal guy? Potential? By his stats, he's a fouling machine, has a poor assist-steal turnover ratio and doesn't look like a scorer or rebounder. So what's up?

I'm forced to agree here. Happy to hear other opinions but I haven't seen much thus far.

Wood, do you remember the center for Wisconsin a few years ago that took them to the final four. Well, he was like Sal, that center didn't do anything until his senior year. Oh, Kaminsky was College Basketball Player of the Year in 2015 (his senior year).....Give him a chance to develop!!

As it turned out, several of the football players and a few field hockey player stayed for the second half. The crowd that showed up tonight was fairly loud and responsive. Fun night for basketball.

Well done Spiders. I think Golden could have scored 40 points tonight if we would have kept him on the block. Kind of an ugly game, but a comfortable W. Let’s keep it rolling @ Bona!

When sal has been given extended minutes (rare, I realize) I’ve seen a guy with decent defense and some good moves around the basket and the ability to create closer to the rim. He definitely needs to beef up, but he’s way better on defense than grace IMO. But I also realize he’s playing out of position going in for GG or grace

Took care of business tonight, good to see this team win comfortably in games they should. Golden got whatever he wanted (and hit his FTs) and defense was solid (especially Andre and Blake). On to the next one...

Clearly you missed the sarcasm. And it's hard to make it to the Robins Center from NYC in an hour so I had to watch on ESPN+. But I was cheering loudly with my 3 year old watching on the iPad. All the talk of a letdown didn't impact my support of the team tonight.

Tonight was more proof that is always better to have an easy end to your schedule than a difficult one. Everyone thought vcu had it better because they had more chances for good wins. How's that working out for them? Meanwhile we are taking care of business and moving into the majority of brackets.

Scientists are the real problem here. They’re too lazy and apathetic and refuse to do their jobs and figure out teleportation. If they got off their ass then you getting to the Robins center is no problem!

Athleticism, aggressiveness on defense, and in spurts dribbling and shooting.

Right now I think what he most needs is some confidence, especially confidence that if he makes 1 mistake he’s getting pulled. Hard to play loose with that looming over you.

Where are the hovercars we were promised?

I agree with all of this. But the problem (for Sal specifically) is what we are doing right now is working. We are 20-6 and probably playing our best basketball of the year. Golden, Cayo and Burton are all playing at a high level.

So it's hard to justify forcing more minutes Sal's way to try to gain him some confidence. In my opinion it's up to him to find a way to make a positive impact in his handful of minutes. Mooney has not stashed him at the end of the bench (a la Pistokache, Friendshue, etc.) with no chance of ever seeing the court. Go out there and grab the bull by the horns Sal!
