Highest Paid College Basketball Coaches

I wonder why we know of higher paid coaches than on this list, but they are omitted.

I realize this article is dated 2013, but Mooney was making pretty big bucks even then.

UR is a private school and does not have to release their information on salaries.

For a guy like Duke and Coach K, I think that number might be an estimate.

certainly do not know but would suggest that any money figures stated, listed, in reference to salary or income, concerning college sports, are mostly guesses, good guesses but not the true bottom line. just too many factors, variables, in play to be completely accurate. for sure can be a big difference between a salary and total income.

I thought we decided private university tax returns eventually become public record, including employee compensation for a number of employees over a certain level.

But the reporter may have decided that was too much work.

The list is mis-titled I think. This appears to be a list of just teams that made the 2013 tourney. There are exactly 68 teams and it also explains why folks making 100K can make the list.

That is a horrible list. Whoever did the research for that list did not do a very good job. There are at least 60 coaches making more than $1,000,000.

Private school data is available when the coach is among the top 10 (I believe) highest-paid officials of the school. And of course any coach making $500,000 or more usually is.
