Harper

Knee, love the sarcasm. Justin is a fine young man who continues to work his rear end off. OSC

It's 1/17th of the NBA minimum for your years of experience. If Justin qualifies as having 1 year of experience for those games he played in the strike year, then his minimum would be around $850k, making the 10-day contract worth about $50k. Which is more than an entire season's D-league salary.

So ya, then each 10-day is worth just under $50k for him.

I also read that a team can only sign the same player to 2 ten day contracts, then has to offer a longer term deal or let them go. So I'm not aware of the Pistons' roster/injury situation but it would really be cool to see Justin get an extended chance.

Harper's second 10-day contract expired at midnight. I know he has been one of Detroit's inactives the last couple of games. Anyone know if he will sign an end-of-season contract with the Pistons?

Pistons have opted not to sign Harp for the remainder of the season. Likely headed back the D-Fenders.

Not sure why he was inactive the last two games, but I'm sure that didn't help his cause. I hope he gets another shot at making a team!

Tolliver and Johnson both came back from injury (the reason they signed Harp in the first place), so they inactivated Harp to make room for those guys on the active roster.

Great to see Justin get back to the league, even if just for the two contracts. This keeps his name and game in front of other teams as well. SVG has been impressed since his days in Orlando, great to see him give him another shot. Best of luck to Justin, keep working!
