Not sure if this is right, but someone commented on the 4v4 video from practice that Gus was absent. I did not notice him in the other videos. Is that right? If so, is he stuck in country due to Covid, or playing for the national team again, or something else? Maybe he is just mad because he had an agreement to be the only Andre on the team

He plays for Finnish national team in the summers. I saw a tweet earlier this summer about him playing too. Here is some background...

I don't know but I assume he's back now since the UR semester started. but if he just returned recently it's very possible he's in a required quarantine period.

Who knows Gus could have been in quarantine mode due to just returning from overseas. Maybe 05 can confirm his
status for us. Gus is such a lockdown defender and his offense has improved a lot. The team would really miss his
presence if he stayed home.

Haha SF, first thing I thought when I saw that tweet . We may have the most influential board on the media and staff in college hoops. Sure Kentucky and UNC and others have more, but none have their voices heard like our board.

I loved every part of his interview on spidertv. I expect him to be a pretty big upgrade over Grace. I see him as a bigger contributor than Derrick Williams on our NCAA team.

I’d rather he kept his weight and increased his muscle. He could dominate other big men.

Agreed. I don't really see Williams contributing much at all to our NCAA team this year, either.

Williams was not much of a contributor his freshman year. He was a good player the next 3 years, but he was not really part of the rotation, especially down the stretch, in 2011. He averaged 4 minutes, 1 point, and 1 board a game that year.

Noah love the quick report on Goose thank u. U especially tho remember we r a monster. Last year we were very good and u had our ceiling as 5th in A10. Whatever u have as our ceiling this year multiply it by 2 and then use that as our new ceiling.

Supposing we play some out all of our games with no fans, do you think this hurts us, helps us or has no overall impact? I can’t quite decide. I feel like for most teams, it will hurt at home and help on the road. If we still play at Kentucky, for example, I would change our 50-50 odds for a win with fans to more like 65-35 without.

In general I’d say if any team stands to benefit somehow from having no fans, it would be one like ours that is super experienced and doesn’t necessarily need the crowd energy to do what it does, whereas younger teams might need to feed off the crowd more.

I may have mistook Burton for Connor in one of the segments, I don't believe I see him either. I guess groin issue still hampering him.
