GooMoo In Game

Mooney says "we need to get better". $1.3 mil of wisdom there baby!!

What's really sad was that I walked into the building thinking that we could probably lose at home to the last place team.

Queue the glass half full crowd

Good news for me tonight was that by leaving the game early I got out of the parking lot quickly!

You lost to the second-to-last-place team. La Salle is last after getting pounded by THE University of Richmond tonight.

First time I have left a game early in years. Just a pitiful game by the Spiders that was brutal to watch. Frankly, it looked like two bad teams playing. Can't believe this is what this team is. Disapointing.

We left early too, first time in years.

Had a great Italian sausage sandwich at the pregame Spider Club Terrace; clearly the highlight for one who drives 7 bours (3.5 each way) to see each game and over night at the Marriott. Really looking forward to a good breakfast. Hope the food is good on Saturday. OSC

Liked the intensity of GMU's first year coach. He yelled almost the entire game. Downside - the rule about staying in the box should be enforced or abolished. The refs were the most indecisive crew I have seen - the game stretched into 2 and a half hours because they could not make up their minds. It was a game we should have won but credit to GMU for figuring out how to get the ball inside to their tallest player who then easily put it in the hoop.

SF, sadly everyone has figured that out.

Sorry, Ulla.

Sadly it is getting to the point where we don't matter even to our own fans. Most on this board will continue to show up for games but expectations are so low that game outcomes are not considered surprises. Let's hope the other half of the inconsistency - to the positive side - can again present itself. Hitting lots of 3's and defensively shutting down the other team.............................

Speaking of coaches not staying in the box. Why did Mooney get a warning last night? It happened about two minutes after the GM coach went almost to the top of the key to protest a call but no action taken on that.
The refs also delayed the game multiple times to have a conference with the GM coach......usually while we were set to inbound the ball.
I've seen so many badly officiated games this year and last night may have been the worst.

Venting about that - during one of the many unofficial let's get our act together officials time stoppages - Mooney had a question and two officials motioned for him to move back into the box - that was a head scratcher - you have to be in the box during a timeout?

Mooney does absolutely nothing to create other offensive opportunities when the team is not having a great shooting night. Nothing!! I think he just chalks it up as "we didnt have it." Same strategy all game every single night. Man he pulled one over on everyone.

Yeah, I saw that too. The officials last night did not bring their "A" game, that is for sure, they were consulting the monitor most of the night. I think Chris said he didn't know you could go to the monitor to see if a player was inside the box or not on a charge/block call.

The one ref that did that displayed the type of behavior of a ref that is looking to mix it up with the coaches. That wasn't the finest crew we've ever see at the RC.
