This is going to be a difficult game for the Spiders. There was some hope when Furman beat them by 2 points, until the now 5-0 Furman crushed Villanova on their home court 76 to 68 last night. I have not seen a spread, but would guess we will be 8 point underdogs.

Radford, Furman, big wins made me wonder when was the last time the Spiders knocked off a top 25 team? top 50 team?

Kenny has Spiders losing by 5 but I think like UR80 line starts out at 8. Big test for Jacob going against Custer who some pundits have him as MVC Player of Year. Also GG against Loyola-C's equal sized big man.

My main concern is if UR's big 3 will come through offensively enough, especially if a few others don't start scoring? Loyola-C appears will not light up the scoreboard, but their success is predicated on defense. And even though weak opponents to date, they play DEFENSE.

We beat Cal, which was a top-15 team, a few years ago in some tournament. Although, they lost a bunch of games after that and weren't really a top-15 team.

Lose by double digits. Mooney going to get outcoached. If he beats Loyola-Chicago he gets a contract for another ten years. That's how confident I am with Loyola-Chicago.

They did end up as a 4 seed, so a top 16 team in the selection committee's eyes.

My hope is that they have seen the shooting percentages of Cayo, Sherod, Golden and Gilyard and put all their defensive effort in stopping them leaving Jake open to rain 3s. One of these days he is going to have a breakout game. Hopefully it is tonight!

Loyola (and Sister Jean) took the world by storm last season, but now what?

After a star-making Final Four run for Loyola-Chicago and its biggest fan, coach Porter Moser is obsessive about building on the success.
