GW was our weirdest split last season. Pretty comfortable win at home, then that embarrassment in DC in the midst of our February swoon.
I don't think GW has the talent to drop 100 on us again.....let's not repeat that.

Yes, as other posted noted, very curios to see which GW team shows up. I think the bad one. Truthers going to rule for a few days as Mooney gloats.
They've had a great week of practice. Obviously, they'll compete (not just play), they might brick 20 3's but as long as they were "well-aimed shots" then that's ok.
Might give up 85-90 points but they'll disrupt ball movement. Players A and B will get 1 minute, but admittedly, should have gotten 15 mins. They'll see 4 minutes in the next game. Check the box for improvement and progress. Loss goes in the books but it was a successful trip.
On 95S the bus swings in to Dairy Queen in Fredericksburg. Some of the money from Mo's most recent donation pays for 30 blizzards.

GW coach gives us a chance in this one.....but depends on which team shows up a GW 5-10 team with losses to Michigan, Hoos, South Carolina or a Richmond team that is 6-9 with losses to Longwood, Hampton, or Oral Roberts.......but as pointed out we know from last year we could be smoked and embarrassed.....or dare to think it.....pull out a win .....but better shot for a win when we play at Robins...................
Will not even waste time looking at numbers. Didn't see GW at any site preseason predicted finishing above 12th in league play and probably 13th would be the consensus. Thought Spiders would sweep GW along with LaSalle this season. So Mooney's team leaving DC a loser is unacceptable! Would be surprised if they do and tell me Mooney isn't improving the team. Honestly a win wouldn't tell me the Spiders are improving unless a dominating one. Go Spiders!
Just watched parts of the Dayton/GW game via replay on ESPN+. Their gym was more sparse than Robins on Wednesday, so the "crowd" should be light tomorrow, especially with weather forecast. May not be much different than playing at home. GW offense looked good, but they were on fire at the beginning of the game so could be misleading. Not much rebounding, so probably a draw there. The GW D also looked pretty good in this game - active hands, taking charges etc. Edge GW. I think it is a 50/50 game. All going to depend on start. Hopefully Jacob can get the team fired up.
They seem to he more aggressive on D today, both in the front court and the backcourt.

Nice win for the Spiders. Great to see our freshman do well. Andre gets the start and had a very good first half. Jake, had 4 more 3s and 8 rebounds. He might be 3rd in the A10 in 3s. Also, thought Matt Grace played very well. Only sorry Sal didn't get more minutes.

Just got home and GW must be a bad team, but 76-56 in my book is a dominating win. Only can play the teams on your schedule, Dukes will be a harder test.
Is a 20 point win a dominating one? Was happy to see them extend the lead and pull away. Great effort by the Spiders!
Nice synopsis. I think Grace will really come into his own and become a contributor and move beyond being just a sub for Grant. Agree on Sal. Not sure why he didn't get more PT. High shooting percentage and his D is improving. He deserves 5+ minutes a game.
Sooooo...you want us to lose? Geeez. Maybe we build upon this. Maybe the kids who are working their butts off enjoy a night after a dominating (as others put it) win. I'd encourage many on here to think beyond yourselves and this replace Mooney at all costs mentality and compliment the nice road win our student athletes delivered.

Like playing in a library. GW has even worse attendance than us. Of course, the students were still on break, which does factor in.
My take was 50/50 and depended on start and that was the Spiders best start to date. Nice job fellas!
Have to give the boys credit today. They played hard for 40 minutes. There is definitely talent on this team.
