I have a hard time understanding how our Massey Rating can only be sitting at #14. It is simply that JMU has left the CAA so "8-2 in the CAA" isn't really "8-2 in the CAA" anymore? We have a respectable loss to a P5 school and lost a gut-wrencher on the road to a ranked opponent. Margin for error now very slim with the defections that our level has endured over the last few years.

From 13 to 11 in coaches poll as Mercer and Chatty dropped following losses.

Win this week would vault us up in rankings and should lead to a seed and 1st round bye!!

Only slipped to #13 in STATS poll.

Athlon/Haley dropped us all the way to #20 of course.

AFCA has accidentally embedded their FBS poll in their FCS article, but the text mentions we're at #14.

Heck of a season for our Spiders. We have again stamped our name as a program on a national level. Now the job becomes to stay there and move closer to the top. Our rivalry with WM could now go to a whole new level as we do directly recruit against them. Glad our support facilities have improved and our coaching staff continues to get after it on the recruiting trail.

Many thanks to you 32counter for all the great information you provide. I am glad to see WM listed in that elite group in preseason articles. They are a true rival that that hopefully will stay near the top of the polls all year and set up another great closing game. Our schedule is certainly favorable to develop our new QB starter once we get through the Michigan State trip. Take care of business and improve going forward to another big game at Rhode Island in October as well as an unknown Campbell team at home who is stockpiling FBS talent. Navigate through those tests and an exciting November finish with ELON and WM. Should be an interesting year. Our defense will be strong and hopefully our offense is improving each week. Schedule is set up perfectly to keep some momentum going in 2023.

Surprised they don’t believe the Camels can make a team out of all of their FBS/BCS transfers…maybe they did not do their research?

Go Spiders!
