Expectations

Yea 2018-2019 team to 2010-2011 team is not even close to being comparable (yet), individually or as a team. As Go said, we had a ton of experience and proven role players that could spare points and minutes to help KA and Harper. Not to mention 2010-2011 was an elite defensive team to go along with best player at UR this century. JG had a tremendously successful freshman season but he’s not even close to what KA meant to the program as a senior.

I’m not a chicken little and hopeful for a better season, but the starting points on both sides of the court and the off-season prior for 10-11 team and 18-19 team are very different.
Agree Dre, the depth and experience on that roster was night and day to today's. We have a lot of "if's". They may very well work out, but it is not typical that enough do to make a huge jump. Meanwhile, Bonnies just beat out Syracuse and Georgetown for a player, but I know I know - this is an isolated case. Special situation. contacts. Etc. Well, sometimes you have to create these special situations.

My expectations for the Spiders used to be when I sat down in my RC seat were that we had an 80-85% chance of winning. I always felt we had a 50-50% chance away from RC.
That puts us at about a 21 or 22 win season. Which translates into having to win the A-10 tournament to get into the NCAA.

If not for the mass exodus, I would have had that same expectation for the coming year. Now when I sit in my seat for the first game of 2018, I will have no idea what to expect.

After a 12 win season, maybe that is a good thing. We know what we had with Khwan and Buck, and it was not good enough last year, and it would not have been good enough this year. They did not fit well with Jacob, Nick, and Grant, and unless they were both going to have their minutes dramatically reduced, my expectations are better with them gone.

Bonnies are going to be a force for many years to come. That coach don't mess around. This won't be the first big recruit he grabs away from the P6.

Coach Fezz, studies have shown that people who put others on "Ignore" have Ostrich DNA in their genes.* I wouldn't worry about it or give it a second thought. Po prostu zignoruj strusia.
