Driving down 95 is a sickening task

Broad street gets a weekly one hour AD show and a one hour couches show. And they don't even have football to talk about.
Did our buddy GB change stations too.

My only question is, how do I get that on my 1974 car radio?

You need high powered transistors:

Predicted Nighttime* Coverage Area for WXGI 950 AM, Richmond, VA

Looks about right. The over-the-air signal begins to fade 8-10 minutes north of Robins Stadium.By 1/2 way to Ahland its hardly discernible.By Ashland(Exit 92)it's long gone.950am can be accessed through the TuneIn app which works fine at least for the remaining ride to DCA.Who needs a radio anyway? If anyone has a complaint bring it up to Redskins Dan Snyder through his Red Zebra Broadcasting, the owner of WXGI.There is always simulcasting on 100.5FM as an option.

Talk about exaggeration, coverage does not come close to what is on that map.

Pure static in Midlothian too.

Both 950 and 93.1 (and for that matter 100.5) get a lot of interference when I go home from games up Glenside towards 64. 910 and the other iHeartradio stations are right there drowning out the puny signals we're on.

One drawback to Tunein is that there's a delay of about a minute, which doesn't exist over terrestrial radio. Of course it doesn't matter outside of Richmond. I will say that I'll take Tunein over iheartradio any day. Their stations force you to use their soul crushing app, which is really bad.

Thanks for the link Spider fan. Wolfman is gone and so are a lot of my favorite parking spots.

Wolfman Jack was on WNBC in the early 70's.WNBC was a 50,000 watt am station.Had a little more coverage than WXGI.Don Imus was hired there in late 1971 and worked there for about 20 years.WNBC also brought in Murray the K Kaufman as well as Bruce Cousin Brucie Morrow in 1973.Those were crazy days...Driving up 95 and listening to those guys would keep you awake, that's for sure.
