Thanks for posting this. David Burhans was a fine Christian man. Most recent contact I had with him was at Richmond basketball games. He delighted in bringing his grandson who had Down Syndrome to the games with him because the young man enjoyed the games so much. Enjoyed talking with David who would have a smile on his face and a kind word to share. There is joy in heaven but he will be missed by his family who I lift in prayer.

Dr. Burhans was a good Christian. He served the University well. He was a light who saw the good in each of us.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Dr. Burhans well during my freshman year at U of R. He was an exemplary man, and truly a servant of the Lord.

I was married at Cannon Memorial Chapel. Dr. Burhans will forever be a special person to me.
