For my money Olivier Sarr is the new David West, at least for our board purposes.
defense is everything with this team. that should be obvious. if our defense was even average, we'd do really well with five 1,000 point scorers.
Go figure. Last seasons was by far better, subbing Burton for Sherod could not be the reason. I suspect coaching not to foul allowing layups and dunks from interior matador defense. Better coaching needed, as pointed out elsewhere it’s all about the perfectly designed offense requiring GG.

Each time I sign on to the Spiders message board and see this thread titled DEFENSE, I laugh. Now that I think about that, it's sad.
Romaine Sato seemed like a respectable player but his name is a type of leafy vegetable.

I googled him to see what he is doing now, and today is his birthday, randomly. Dude looked like he was chiseled out of stone in college. That X team was annoyingly legit.
I was at that game at the dumpy Spectrum! Beilein 1 year 1 A10 final appearance. Mooney 16 years 2 A10 final appearances.
I was there as well. Ended up coming through West Philly on my way to the second day of games. Whoops. That was not fun.

Yep. I accidentally locked my keys in the car that night so I had to sit around postgame waiting for AAA. But I recall downtown Reggie Brown coming out of the RC as I was waiting outside and gave me the scoop.
A valuable lesson for the next time we have five 1,000 point scorers.
