Dajour Rucker

No, I am not stirring the pot. I just feel like we cannot close on legit A10 talent, unless there is some odd circumstance.

Why do you think this player is legit A10 talent? We were his only A10 level offer, but we offered 2 years ago and haven't shown any interest in a long time as far as I am aware.

It is painfully obvious why you brought this thread back after two years of inactivity. It is the same reason you started the rumor that Cayo was transferring. You need to realize that your constant campaigning on this board will have absolutely no effect on Mooney's employment status, and it is nothing but draining and tiresome. I have no problem with a discussion about firing Mooney, there is plenty of reason to want a change. However, twisting everything and anything that is even remotely connected to the program into an indictment of Mooney, no matter how tenuous or farfetched, is really... annoying. Mooney has had plenty of recruiting misses to complain about, this is not one of them

23 everyone understands your position -- now back off or take a vacation, yes this is a public warning

Got it, seems the pro never get the warnings, but that's OK.
I agree with you...
The positive “to posters” never gets a warning, only the negative “to posters” gets a warning...
Why is that? It is so unfair...

Because the moderators agree with the pro Mooney side. Which is why there needs to be a moderator from the FMM side of things to keep it more balanced.

Oh the irony, that the pro-Mooney, Athletic department driven handle, can emerge on here a few weeks ago with his glowing prognosis of our program time in post after post, but as soon as that is challenged we are talking about banning people.

It is pretty ironic that as soon as the discussion went from pro Mooney/ anti Mooney to pro “Fans”/ anti “Fans” we started discussing bans. I think when the discussion becomes pro Spider/ anti Spider the bans will become reality...

So are so wrong man. This guy would've been a solid player for us and I don't think any of us would have said anything that we shouldn't want him because if his other offers. Those are better schools to be competing against than schools like Siena, quinippiac, NJIT, and some random D2 school. Mooney is a terrible talent evaluator. Let me go take over recruiting and I bet I bring in a better class every year than him.

Where will you find the time, between being Head Football Coach, Athletic Director, VPI Agro student, and your SpiderNation moderator duties?

Irony is a situation that in actuality differs from perception or expectation.

From the tone and contents of your posts, you expected and are not surprised by the actuality of the situation, and therefore by definition irony does not apply.

Irony can be tricky. Alanis Morissette helped ruin everyone’s understanding. For a helpful article, take a look here:

I think I just want VT4700 to talk about our defense and double team ball screen sometime. He has good understanding
in our defense, it shouldn't matter. out there we should be passing off the man like it's a zone.

in a man defense, because we've had small guards I do like doubling the ball screen. makes it hard to hit the roller.

spiderman, is 4700 your burner account. If so I think you got confused and replied to Fezz using the wrong one. The plot thickens, YOU CANNOT MAKE THIS STUFF UP. Geez, Pike, you wonder why huh?

On another note, Happy Friday Spidernation! Good times ahead, just not sure when!!!!

lol. No, just figured I'd give my opinion on ball screen defense since coach has asked that question multiple times.
Happy Star Wars Day.

Yes i ask VT why we never double and what he thinks of defense because i was thinking he was staff coach and we would here the team thoughts in disguise but would still hear. I think maybe we move too soon on him before we get the information . Ha

Yes, sorry Fezz, I think I started the ouster, should have waited to hear the philosophies. I do think we should bring back the plays that got TJ so wide open off inbounds. Grant can finish those too.

Agreed. Pretty incredible how often TJ scored layups on those.
We started to look like every other team on inbounds plays the minute he left.

It seems to me we tried the same inbound plays a number of times this year, they didn't work so we had to go to option 2. Not sure whether the other team had seen the film, or if it was execution.

I seem to recall DT having the same basic set ups on inbound plays and had 7 options depending on how the D reacted.

They are good boys, the pro team.

Yes, TJ probably had a little something to do with the inbounds play working. There is typically a very small window to make it work, and he had the chemistry with the inbounder to make it work. It did seem like this year we had to throw it to the back court a ton. That will probably be blamed on Buck by the staffers posting on this board.
