ANO plays couple of minutes in first half and didn't sniff the floor in the second half with game on the line. 2 points.

Addition by subtraction for us. Even though I totally do not miss ANO on offense, where he was a mill-stone around our necks, and totally stopped the "flow" of the offense, he did play some helpful defense.

We will need to recruit another strong defender (or two) though, since if you count ANO as a "senior" this year, we lose our top 4 defenders at the end of this season. We can live with the loss of one (ANO), but our current three seniors defensive contributions will likely be more of a challenge to replace. The good news is that Buckingham is clearly a strong defender, and Grant Golden likely will be also. Hopefully, Sherod will be solid on "D" also.

JOC mentioned ANO transfer stats in the RTD, A-10 league summary piece today in quite unflattering terms, albeit spot on terms. I find it a tad interesting that our beat reporter sought to point this out in the manner. I think you can read between the lines as to what people in our program thought of his decision.

ANO could have and should have been a force in the A-10. Never lived up to his potential, mainly because he is a lazy player and never sure of what was going on around him, guess you could call it a low basketball IQ. IMO.

I thnk he had not big desire to be the best. Well maybe desire as to be best but not many dedicating to be best.
