Took down Villanova and handed Rutgers their only defeat so far in the young season, but also lost to Wagner and Vanderbilt prior to tonight.

Really need this one to get things back on track.

It's time to play Predict How and By How Much We Lose (the OOC Edition)!

I'll go Temple 67, UR 65 after the Owls close the games on an 11-2 run over the final 7:30 and we turn it over five times.

Be interesting to see how this one goes. Seems like a bit of a let down spot for both teams. We are favored by 1, yet Temple has victories over Rutgers and Villanova.

The Zach Hicks game. Hopefully if we lose we will get the Temple posters on here to slam dunk it on us rub our nose in it. Looks like Zach is a solid player for them, had 20 points in a loss to Vandy.

"The biggest reason Temple has a shot at team success once more is Khalif Battle. He still doesn’t get enough attention nationwide, but the guard is one of the best players in the AAC. After Battle, the Owls have a lot of sophomores ready to step up to the plate, which could bode very well for the team’s future. Hysier Miller, Damian Dunn, Jahlil White, and Nick Jourdain fill out the top part of the team’s rotation. All of those players are sophomores. Still, this team will go as Battle goes. If he’s healthy and playing like he was at the start of last year, Temple is a legitimate AAC title threat. Without that, the Owls will probably languish somewhere near the lower half of the pack."

Dunn is the most dangerous player through the first 5 games, with Battle performing a bit below expectations. As a whole this team is one of the best from the line, so I'd avoid loose fouls if we can. He is streaky, and can be loose with the basketball. Defending him tight will be key, I'd match up our best defender on him (likely will be Goose since Mooney can't shake him for some reason) and cause him to make mistakes. He could easily burn us from 3 and from the charity stripe if we're not careful.

If you’re Temple’s coach surely you play some zone against us today right?

A classic…decent enough defense countered by inability to rebound and thus opening up the door for second chances

once again, we start the game by digging a nice big hole for ourselves to struggle out of for the remainder of the game. I don't blame Mooney though it's these darn players not listening to him!
Pattern repeats.

Remember though, it’s a game of 2 halves and maybe OT.😜

Good hustle from Bailey there too. Gets his shot blocked and then immediately follows it with a steal.

I love being able to watch games in real time and not hours later on DVR. There’s nothing like it

The passing while running the offense is lazy. The offense requires quick execution and have not seen it. When Goose came back in at least he brought some pace with him.

Edit - out of the under 8 timeout passes and cuts are noticeably crisper

Under 8 ATO. Mooney gets no credit here for that play call and basket. Guessing he also made zero adjustments during this 15-0 run.

That’s 11 turnovers and 1 shot for 2 points in Temple’s last 12 possessions. If this was a video game my controller would be in the tv right now
