Beginning of the End

I was actually just ready to say I agree with 97. I have always felt Mooney fouls way too early in this situation. Sometimes, even grabbing the guy as he gets the inbounds pass in the backcourt with 7 or 8 seconds left when we could easily wait at least until 5 seconds or under. I agree with 97's other points in the previous post as well.

I think my world now is brighter with Mr VT4700 and Mr97 agreements. Yes this year will be happy times my friends yes

Yes, I think Spidernation is coming together and this will be a huge turn around year. I really do think with this schedule and our talent we can do 10 to 11 wins OOC.

Key questions:

PF: Has Cayo improved and can stay out of foul trouble (averaged 5.8 fouls/40minutes). As VT noted, we do not need 5 guys averaging 15 per game - BUT you do need guys that can knock down shots when the big 3 are covered. Sal - will he be physically read to compete at this level?

SG: Really like Julius, but not a 30 minute starter in the A10. Like his hustle and attitude. Who will win this spot, Are either Woj or Gussy far enough along to score 7-8 points/game and play D in the A10? If not, could be a trouble spot.

Wild Card: Yale transfer Yates. Is he a tough, knockdown shooter that can be plugged in the 2 through 4 spots as needed, or did his success come against inferior competition and be negated by stepping up a league?

Lot of question marks, but I feel Mooney will be very motivated, waking up every morning and throwing darts at his Spider23 dart board. I have confirmed Jones has a 97Spiderfan edition, and over on Broad they have a limited edition "CoachFezz" board.

One other note. Last year lot of hype around Buck and Sherod. Sherod did not look to back it up, played very very timid to start the season and then turned it on. He will need to look to score 20 every time out to hold up my 11 win OOC prediction.
