Athletic Campaign

I am hearing that UR will soon launch a capital campaign for the Athletic Department. Redone Pitt Field, new lockers and Football offices in the RC, and Phase II of the RC Arena renovation, including new main entrance off of X lot with lobby and elevators. Not sure what else is included, but this all sounds great!

Was discussed a little bit here.

Have heard very nice upgrades for Pitt Field, including stands/press box and outfield seating. Just about every sport will be getting upgrades, except swimming from what I've heard.

I seem to remember something in the Master Plan about a parking deck where the tennis courts are now. If that happens I wonder if there are plans for a nice tennis facility.

The Westhampton courts are our varsity facility, and I think they are in line for some improvements, but nothing major like an indoor facility.

The master plan does envision replacing the Richmond courts with a parking garage. I don't *think* there are plans to replace those lost courts, but I could be mistaken.

That's correct. There will be a 'history of Richmond Basketball' display and feature at the top of the Escalator, which puts visitors directly in the Ambulatory area.

I've seen drawings of the whole thing. It's pretty fantastic.

Looks and sounds great. It just makes too much sense to have an x lot entrance.
