amazing how often we talk down about PQ while we prepare to construct his practice facility, which is one of the only bright spots in hoops in a while.

and while many of you think UR can just write a check to start the replacement coach process, it's likely we'll need a guy like this to write that check for us.
It's only me really. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

My wife and I debated if we should buy our season tickets this year. In the end, we decided to rebuy them because we don’t want to lose our seats. They are amazing seats and my kids love interacting with the players.

But I contacted the school about them before we purchased. Instead of losing our seats we decided to pull our contribution to Spider Club. We made it clear that the only reason we were buying our season tickets were to retain our seats and that we would not contribute to Spider Club until we see a change. This was a tough decision but feel like the money was all going to the same place anyway. I have had several Follow-up conversation with the staff at the RC over this since.

I would like to thank Chris Mooney for his time at Richmond and say that I think he was able to do good here. If he had been fired after the 20-12 season we would have been left with a better taste in our mouth than after last season and this season. Not that the legacy was amazing but I believe years down the road he will be viewed much worse than he was because of these hopefully final 2 seasons. I wish him luck but the 2019-2020 season we deserve a coaching change.

Agree on Queally, I really doubt he’s the problem that folks make him out to be, and even if he is, one might argue that he has bought himself at least a vote.

I actually don’t agree on point two. Yes the endowment is off limits but any accountant worth his/her salt would be carrying CMs guarantee as a liability and have adequate cash reserve to pay it. Maybe no one planned for it in the athletic department annual budget but I’d be very surprised if they didn’t have adequate cash on hand outside the endowment to cover it.

Note: I am not an accountant, I only play one on TV.

Dear Coach stop reading the board , i think for let me think about it maybe needs asking one more time to get a good answer , i think answer not a big deal no answer just make problem of words you like not to read I think. Time for new thinking whether it is said or not , whether we want it or not . Always have to know what to say , always have to have a good out of bounds play and always have to use high ball screen now for offense.
Andre know high ball screen clonanalopta. is easy . Now if we lose we lose FIGHTING eff technical foul. Team spirit is what counts now is the measure i think.

Well said Fezz, well said.

And I am glad you also acknowledge that he reads the board. Every once in a while a truther tries to down play this, but it is irrefutable. Here is to coaching and playing with passion going forward.

This is my first post this season. I was basically done last season, the Delaware game was the "AHA!" moment for me.

I did not renew my season tickets, I didn't care about losing my seats. I figured giving up my season tickets was about the last remaining protest action I could take (I stopped my contributions to the Spider Club a few years ago, and told the AD why).

I know this will be blasphemy, but I moved to Ashland this past fall, and have been going to Randolph-Macon basketball games. I know they are D3, but these guys are true student-athletes who don't get full basketball scholarships, and they really give a crap about what they are doing. Incidentally, R-MC is 7-0 and ranked in the Top 20 in D3 so far this season. They are actually very fun to watch.

If Mooney is fired this season, I may come back and watch a game out of morbid curiosity, but other than that, I refuse to pay good money to watch a Chris Mooney-coached team play at the RC.

I sent an email to our then Athletic Director that I was no longer going to contribute to the Spider Club, nor any other athletic fundraising efforts. My reasons were the elimination of the Men's Soccer and Men's Track programs, and the continued poor recruiting and overall mediocrity of our Men's Basketball program. The email would have been sent sometime in 2014, I believe. I received no acknowledgement of my email nor did I receive any response to it.

Welcome to Hanover. R-MC has great small college athletics to watch and great facilities

^^I was already in Hanover County (Mechanicsville) since 1997. Mechanicsville had gotten too congested, and since becoming empty-nesters we had way too much land, and way too much house. Smaller (1/2 the size) house, and we went from 8 acres to .6 acres with practically no grass to mow. My wife works at R-MC and she gets nice perks for working there. Go Jackets!

D3 is some high level hoops, especially those top 20 teams - we have had a couple in CT the last two years.

I am still baffled why we would play HSC instead of Randolph-Macon. WAIT, I know why.

If this out of touch Univ and Athl Dept don't wake up, we're going to see more taking action similar to keefusb.

I'm getting closer and closer by the day to just throwing in the towel on this entire ADept. I can tolerate losing some games, but my patience is growing very thin with these non-stop PR games and rationalizing mediocrity. The fanbase is not stupid, which is how we're being treated.

I believe behind the scenes. groundwork is being set for UR to go D3 and join the ODAC.

The biggest long-term issue I have had with the Men's Basketball program has been the excuses and rationalizations for sh!tty recruiting and a mediocre product on the floor. All of this from an institution that basically trades on it's reputation for academic, business, leadership, and other forms of excellence. CM has been given a pass because he captured lightning in a bottle for a couple of years nearly a decade ago. I can't believe what we are paying him for what we are getting. I have maintained for a long time that he is complacent and basically mailing it in. He's a nice guy, and a great ambassador of our institution, but he has shown me in the past few years to be completely incapable of leading a successful program.

I am DONE until we cut CM loose.

Right there with you. The entire Athletic Department treats the fanbase like were a bunch of idiots.

You have to wonder if they really do understand how pissed off and disrespected so many people feel right now and just are towing the company line publicly or if they really are as clueless as they come off to be with there tone deaf social media and silly promotions to try to beg people in the building.

I mean I still cannot get over Mooney not answering that question the other night, Bob defending him as maybe a question to be asked the next day (like Mooney needs to be treated like some infant with kid gloves) and then after Bob says that he doesn't even ask Mooney the next day when he has the opportunity to do so on the coaches show.

Its like watching the Titantic heading straight for the damn iceberg, all of the passengers are screaming to turn the wheel, and the captain and crew make an order for full steam ahead.

I don't expect anything earth shattering from Hardt tomorrow, other than expressing disappointment on the early season and saying he wants things to be better. If you want something to be better, than DO SOMETHING.

I'd hope the current administration would at least acknowledge it.

FWIW, I sent an email to John Hardt in the moments after the final buzzer of the Longwood game. I received a response this afternoon. It was from his assistant but it was a response.

They didn't want to acknowledge or respond because they didn't want to admit you are correct (at least on 2nd reason). They did like your contributions & ticket purchases.

Since your 2014 e-mail, we are still running the same offensive system, still getting beat badly on defense, still not rebounding,...so not much has changed other than more losses and more $5.00 ticket games.
