All A10 teams

Here are the preseason rankings:

That preseason first team all-a10 is an offensive powerhouse. Are these determined by the media or the coaches? Either way, we seem to be getting more respect than anticipated. Though with 2 all-a10 caliber players we should be expected to do pretty well.

I'm glad TJ and SDJ are getting the respect and recognition that they deserve. I suspect they will both live up to the lofty expectations of being on the all A-10 teams.

I think we got bumped up a spot and GW got degraded several spots due to the firing of their coach.

Interesting to note that all 5 guys on all-defensive teams play for teams picked to finish in Top 3. Defense wins and these voters know it! Hope we can relearn that this year!

Based on recent history in the A10, teams that finish 1st and 2nd in the regular season have a ~90% chance of making the NCAA tournament. Teams that finish 3rd and 4th have ~60% chance. Teams that finish 5th and 6th have ~15% chance. If we do finish 6th there is a small chance we make the tournament, but if we can finish 4th or better our chances are pretty good.

just watched CM at media day. had very positive things to say about Marshall. biggest year to year improvement of an upperclassman. really worked hard. more from Marshall can really be a boost this season.

spiderman, I can personally testify that Marshall was a beast at practice on Saturday. The thunderous dunks by both him and Kwasi were intimidating. Both of these guys are really athletic. Marshall grabbed a number of boards, and both his passing and handle were impressive for a guy his size. OSC

he's been one dimensional here. what you describe is what I expected coming out of high school for Marshall. changes everything if he's that guy now.

I concur with Ulla, I was at the practice on Saturday as well. I agree that Marshall and Kwasi were both athletically impressive and give great promise this upcoming season.

Man, if Marshall has upped his game significantly, I really like the potential for this team to come together. You can see the talent within him that made him a BCS recruit. He is match-up nightmare if he can add another dimension to his game besides the 3 point shot.
