A10 LAX Players of Week 2024


Richmond freshman Gavin Creo was selected as Rookie of the Week.

Pilling, a short stick defensive midfielder from Upper Dublin, Pa., recorded five caused turnovers, a ground ball and an assist in Richmond's 9-5 win over High Point Saturday. The five caused turnovers is a career-high and ties for eighth for a single game in the program record book.

Creo, an attacker from Rockville Centre, N.Y., recorded two goals on three shots and added a ground ball in Richmond's win over the Panthers. It’s the second time in as many weeks Creo has been named A-10 Rookie of the Week.
 


The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Richmond fifth year Dalton Young its Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week. High Point sophomore Zack Overend was chosen as the league’s Defensive Player of the Week. Saint Joseph’s redshirt freshman Danny Gaalaas was selected as Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced Monday and are for games played April 15-21.

Young, scored six points in a tight game versus Massachusetts, tallying two goals and four assists to lead Richmond past UMass, 14-12 and keep the Spiders in a tie for first. The attacker from Chantilly, Va., scored his two goals on eight shots, five of which were on goal.
