Interesting...A-10 is desperate to beef up rosters so they can get these games played.

Would love to see Jason Nelson get some much needed minutes! Dude is gonna be a baller for us and I know hell bring some much needed Richmond city energy and attitude onto this roster. Game and personality remind me a ton of one of my favorite all time Spiders Cederick Lindsay. Also will help as Gilyard can actually catch a break and hopefully make him more efficient. Hope we can land some more Jayem players in the future.

Not holding my breath on this one. But would love to see Jason Nelson. I think he could help us as Ferrum states above.

Need to have our full 20 available so we can host our own Final Four tournament.

I presume the NCAA is not going to allow this only for the A10, if it allows it all. Though that would be humorous if it did.

Do you really think any coach is gonna play games with red shirts and walkons? They will (and probably already have) just tweek the numbers so they won't have to play the tough teams on their schedule.

There would be ample playing opportunities over the course of a 30-game regular season for players who now can't appear in one game if they wish to preserve a year of eligibility. Even appearing in four or five games would help the development of a player who must stay on the bench under the current redshirting rules.

Football is the only one that allows it right now. There was talk of the NCAA approving it for basketball in time for this season, but it looks like nothing was ever officially brought forward.
