Yep, as much time as you need to put into any sport to refine your skill, it seems football may be the one where an athlete can pick up the quickest based on have great athleticism. My nephew went to HS at a school known as a local football powerhouse, with most kids having come up thru the youth leagues since early grade schools. He never played a snap of orgnanized football until senior year, and started at corner back with multiple interceptions.
